3rd & FINAL Stretch Goal!
We only have a few hours to hit our 3rd & FINAL stretch goal. It's an 8 x 10 Korra print (still a work-in-progress). I'm sure we can do it! Any Korra fans out there?!
Who Am I?
Hi, my name is Evan Burse. Ever since I was a kid, I loved animation, comic books, anime, sci-fi...and of course action movies. That's why I started working in the animation business. I've worked on:
-Marvel's The Black Panther
-Batman Brave and the Bold
...and one of my personal favorites TEEN TITANS
But for the past 4 years, my big passion has been teaching people HOW TO DRAW some of their favorite characters on my YouTube channel, Cartoon Block.
Recently, I've gotten a lot of requests from people asking to see MORE of my drawings & personal sketches. A lot of those drawings have been sitting in my sketchbooks…until NOW.
I've personally hand-picked my favorite (& not-so favorite) sketches, rough designs & doodles from my sketchbooks and put them together in an 8.5 x 11 inch HARDCOVER book called Cartoon Block Sketches Vol 1: The Art of Evan Burse.
This book will include some of my NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN drawings.
This book can also be used as a tool to see how I naturally build & create my drawings, as shown in these sketches below.
You'll also see some familiar fan favorites (like Kid Goku & Death The Kid) from my YouTube channel, CartoonBlock.
Here are the Reward Tiers!
I need to raise money to cover printing costs which is $4,000. Plus overseas shipping fees which is $4,000. Then an additional $1,500 for packaging materials & Kickstarter fees. That brings the total to $9,500. I hope to get this book into the hands of my supporters, artists & art enthusiasts everywhere.
I can't do this without YOUR help & support. I appreciate you taking the time to look at my project and helping me make this dream come true.
Risks and challenges
I've done a lot of research to help make this Kickstarter campaign as smooth and seamless as possible. With that said, all projects may have unexpected challenges.
I've created a schedule for production and delivery; however, depending on the volume of orders, dates may get pushed back slightly to fulfill the orders.
With the help of my wife, 4 children, and friends (and dog!), my hope is that the books will be in your hands by the deadline.
Shipping is the most complicated part of a Kickstarter campaign. Right before the books are ready to ship, I will send surveys to all the backers asking for your shipping information. Please make sure to include a permanent shipping address to avoid delivery issues. International customers please, please, please include the shipping amount in your pledge to get your package quickly and without hassle.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
