My name is Craig Stewart and I've been making films since I was 11. Last year, with the help of crowdfunders (that means YOU) I made a short film, The Case Of The Missing Brother. You can find it below. Go watch it. No, really, watch it. Then you'll see exactly what your funding will produce - a stylish and thrilling short film in the 'film noir' style.
We made it to $500. We're hoping for more, but setting our sights on one step at a time. Bonus added - Joseph Mysliwiec, one of our supporters,, made a puppet video to get people to come to the Kickstarter and promoted us whenever he could. I promised that, if we got funded, the puppet would make an appearance. Keep your eye on the jumbotron in the opening sequence.
Stretch goal #1 - $1000. Gear upgrades. On the list here is a camera stabilizer, camera slider, lens adapter, sd cards and card case, camera case. With the new lenses I updated you on earlier, the original camera bag has been outgrown. So getting a single case that will hold all the lenses and bodies and accessories would be a good plan.
Covered - Our first concern is insurance. Several of our locations require insurance for us to shoot there. Places like the office and the bar, both pivotal locations for the story.
Covered - Next comes props and costumes. It has to look right. If you've watched the previous film (really, why wouldn't you?) you can see the sort of detail we went to in order to create the world Carmichael lives in.
We've done this before; we know what we're doing. Join us in the project; be a part of this film!
Risks and challenges
Our biggest risk right now is this one right here - not getting the funding. The project hinges on meeting at least the first two funding goals: Insurance, Costumes and Props.
And any original project is a risk, because people are less inclined to fund something that isn't tried and tested. We can mitigate that risk with the fact that the first chapter of this story is available for viewing right now. And that speaks to the most important part of this campaign. I can produce what I'm talking about. Stylish, exciting, captivating. It pulls you in and when you get to the end, you want more. Help us to give you more.
