The game is completely scripted already, so the wait time will simply be on the final artwork and music to be added. The artwork is custom and must be drawn by the same artist I have been working with. From previous experience working with him, he should be able to complete the remaining artwork in a month.
As for the music, I have a list of tracks I want to use from royalty free music databases, but a license is still required to purchase the rights to use the music from the creators. The music will be purchased as soon as I receive the funds so there isn't really any wait time on that.
Therefore I expect to release the game before the end of December.
Dargon Quest is an intentional parody and as such is protected as fair use. There are many games that have done similar things, such as Breath of Death. I believe the Dargon Quest logo is distinct enough with the inclusion of the Student Sword that it would be impossible for anyone to confuse this game as being endorsed by Square Enix.
I mean, the sword literally has a Groucho Marx face.
