Animal Abilities Update #7 - The Trio: Goat, Monkey, & Rooster
Next came a rowdy trio, made up of the Goat, Monkey, and Rooster. The observant Rooster had spotted a wooden raft along the river bank and pointed it out to its friends, the Goat and Monkey. The amicable Goat followed the quick-witted Monkey to clear the reeds around the raft and all three climbed aboard. With the Rooster providing directions, the Goat and Monkey rowed the raft across the river. The Jade Emperor approved of their teamwork and name the Goat 8th, the Monkey 9th, and the Rooster 10th.
The trio of animals that arrived at the Heavenly Palace together through teamwork and dedication benefit significantly from working together in the game. All 3 animals gain a significant benefit when resolving the same action with at least one other player!
The benefits received when resolving the same action with at least one other player:
Goat: You may carry out an Energy Exchange action
Monkey: You gain (1) 1-Energy card
Rooster: You gain 1 Karma
When playing as the Goat, Monkey, or Rooster, it's important to take the same action as other players to maximize your benefits. Table talk is encouraged, however any agreements are not binding! If table talk is not your thing, putting on your best poker face is another viable strategy! Sneaking in and undercutting another player can significantly improve your position. The catch with playing one of these three animals is to ensure you play a higher Energy card than the others so you can earn the main benefit of the Action card.
