Compete in a word duel with friends or challenge three levels in Solitaire.
WORDOPOLIS is a fantastic new word game for 1 to 3 players.
Strategically place 1 to 4 letter tiles on an 8 x 8 grid to create a word. Then search for new words coming off the added letters. But make sure you spot each word because your friends will claim the ones you miss!
There are bonuses for 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 letter words; as well as making 10 or 15 words during one turn. Stars act as 'wild' letters.

The Background Story:
In 2011, my girlfriend and I moved into a new apartment. Someone had left behind a Scrabble game and an old deck of cards. Looking back, both of those things were significant, as they would lead to me inventing more games. We (especially her) started to play Scrabble and my gf also found an online game that she liked, called Just Words. She played a lot.
Fast-forward to 2013 and I got the idea for what is now WORDOPOLIS. At first we called it NUGGETS, and it was all done in a gold theme. We played it a lot that year with my son, Jason. We even won a Dr. Toy award for it! However, we could not bring it to the market (didn't have the money) and it went on the back burner. But once in a while we brought it out to play. When we did, it would get played for days on end, mainly by my word-game-loving gf, who really loved it. My son always said, 'Dad, this is your best game!'
A great Solitaire game!
The greatest strength of WORDOPOLIS is the Solitaire game. It is a wonderful experience to just sit there and try to figure out what word to make and the best place on the grid to make it. I find it relaxing. Once you see a few other words coming off the added letters, you decide to make it there. But then you start to discover all these other words! It is really amazing. Then you get to 8 or 9 words and start to think ... can I make 10 to get the bonus? Yes, there it is!
Back to the Story ...
Towards the end of 2018, we were approached by Phil Harvey (a chief engineer) who wanted to turn WORDOPOLIS into a web and mobile game. He had been interested in some of our other games, but when he found out about our word game, he thought it had great potential. So we began to work on it. At this point, I decided to try a new name and theme. And you now see the result of the past couple of months
We then found some word-game-loving playtesters to see what they thought. They had to be people we did not know. You see their comments on this page. I can tell you that they absolutely love WORDOPOLIS as we do and their comments are genuine. In fact, we shortened their comments for space. They have also playtested the web game - and love it also! Thank you playtesters! Your feedback has been so valuable!
If you love word games, you're going to love WORDOPOLIS. And now, besides the the great tactile experience of the tabletop game, you can play the web game - for Free! Thank you for reading our story. We hope you can back this project. We are a very small indie publisher and we need you! <3

WORDOPOLIS is a winner of a Dr. Toy Award for best vacation game.
Can you believe that WASP made 10 words in total?! So we scored the 10 word bonus!!
Not just for adults or those with a great vocabulary! Think of this amazing comment below, from the Ann Jones (Cards or Die) article at the top of this page.
"It bears mentioning that usually I can't get anyone to play word games with me because apparently I 'just win so it's pointless' so I was pleased that this has a solo variant. As soon as I set it out my son who is 13 took an interest in it and is enjoying playing it with me. I think it's because instead of making words from scratch you are using some parts of words or groups of letters from the grid so it is not just a test of vocabulary but also of observation. He has also beaten me a couple of times which may suggest that it plays differently to other word games or just that my brain is slowing with age. In the absence of actual science lets just go with - Wordopolis is a unique game: awesome in a range of ways!"
