Get Adler! Social Deduction Card Game
Get Adler! was inspired by Sherlock Holmes and other detective stories. While enjoying the ITV series (the one starring Jeremy Brett) with my honey, an idea for a game was planted in my mind. I remembered at this time thinking back to my youth, and my love for SH and other detective series, like Agatha Christie's work. Fast forward to the last two years and we began reading AC and other detective stories and watching a few black and white detective TV shows and movies.
At the same time I created a prototype of Get Adler! which we played with ourselves, and then other family members. Eventually it was played with downtown gamer groups and we received important feedback. One great thing that happened recently was that a buyer at a distributor playtested the game with his group and then with his mainstream colleagues. His feedback and support was immense and greatly appreciated.
Get Adler! vs. other deduction card/board games: "Get Adler! is real deduction. There has been a crime. You are looking for a real suspect with real features, and you must ask direct questions and use your reasoning powers to figure out who is Adler or Collins. After figuring out the bad guy(s), you have to catch them! This game immerses you in the time period with fantastic artwork and graphics. Some other games have a theme pasted on or are just general bluffing games. Get Adler! is real detective work for those who love that genre." Randall

We are very pleased that Cape Breton artist Mary Yurchesyn joined us as the illustrator of the characters. We went back and forth a few times, and in the end she nailed the characters exactly as we wanted them.
Assume the role of the character you have been given! With the detailed, time-period illustrations, immerse yourself in Agent Gold or Inspector Sharpe; Constable Townsend or Double-Agent Josef Adler. With five or six players you can become the accomplice, Kate Collins, or good guy Agent Boris Tarasov. Role-playing at its finest!

"First off it needs to be said I am not much of a gamer and really will only play Ticket to Ride, Dice Town, and Bang once in a while. At first, Get Adler! drew my attention because I like the detective theme, loved Clue when I was younger. Get Adler! was easy for me to learn and kept my interest. The length of each game is perfect for me. I found myself wanting to play it over again. Get Adler! is a great light game."

Another wonderful thing that happened with Get Adler! is that it inspired a spin off short story series based on Agent Gold and Inspector Sharpe: The Adventures of Gold & Sharpe. The first two stories are finished and will be available on our website for FREE (pdf and other eBook formats). These stories have been read by beta readers with great feedback. Enjoy!
The game is perfected now and ready for production, but we are always open to improve. This has been a labour of love, and we hope that you will be able to back this project and feel a part of something special!
Above: Players can ask one 'yes or no' question to another player to try and identify Adler (or Collins). For e.g. Do you have a blue hat? Do you have green eyes?
We are trying to produce a box that will be able to ship as a LETTER which will help backers and us. So it must be thin. Besides a great price (as best as we can get), we don't have to go through the Customs process which takes extra time - filling out a Customs form on each package. SHIPPING IS INCLUDED IN THE SINGLE GAME PLEDGES. Select for your country or area: CANADIAN GOLD LEVEL or AMERICAN GOLD LEVEL or INT. GOLD LEVEL. Thank you!
Risks and challenges
We don't anticipate any challenges.
It is only a card game, in terms of production, with no expensive components. The only issue we have is making it in a slim box (package) so that it can ship as a letter, so that is better for our backers and for us.
We have tried to give the best prices possible based on the current exchange rates.
If we have any unforeseen issues we will communicate with our backers immediately. Thank you!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
