30% on Day 6!

We had a tremendeous start! 30% on day 6 is very good! Thank you all!

Projections indicate that we can do this. The game is being noticed, I'm gonna do some interviews, showcase the game... it's going to help for sure but I BELIEVE YOU ARE OUR BEST ASSET 💪!

.

-> You've already contributed, YEAH 💛! What else can you do?

Spread the word! Talk or send a txt, an e-mail to your friends, to your family, at school, to your colleagues, post a link in the forums, in Slack or in the Discords you frequent. Many have already communicated a lot about LUNARK and I couldn't thank them enough.

We're going to make it!

.

WHAT IS ROTOSCOPY?

"Rotoscopy, by definition, is an animation technique used by animators to trace over motion picture footage, frame by frame, when realistic action is required".

Hello it's me!
Hello it's me!

In the game, there will be cinematics. Some of them will be contextual and skippable (certain ways of dying, healing, interacting with objects,...), others will be complete cutscenes important for the narrative.

As you can see, I use either video footage or 3D elements that I animate and adapt to the art style of the game.

When I use video footage, I import it on Photoshop at the game's resolution, use it as a model and trace over it frame by frame.

When it's 3D, it's a little bit different. I import the animation, apply the game's palette, then polish every frame to make it match the style.

CROSS-PROMO TIME!

This time I contacted Sean Young, solo-dev like me on a very charming pixelated game:

Littlewood

" The world has already been saved. Now it’s time to rebuild your town along with the hearts of those around you. "

.

Explore the vast world of Solemn, meet Townsfolk and convince them to stay in your town (perhaps meeting people will unlock your memories of the past), collect rare items and materials found across the world and bring them back to your town for selling and crafting!

How cute is that?

.

You can customize your town, master new hobbies, crafts and make some friends!

.

Sean's influences are Animal Crossing, Darkcloud and Runescape... So what are you waiting for? Go check the campaign! There's even a demo!

It's the Anti-aliasing detail in fonts that kills me : ^)
