In early 2011, Tom Tash and Drew Hooke from the band The Bay State joined forces with Emma Holley. Now, they're creating an album!
Demo session update - Our 2nd song "Light up the Torch" demo
Tom Tash and Drew Hooke have been writing, playing, producing, recording, mixing and mastering music for 12 years together. Recently they left their most successful project to pursue new genres. The Bay State, who was named in the Top 20 Unsigned bands of 2009 by Purevolume.com and featured in Alternative Press, Substream and many other music publications, released many albums, however there were 2 goals that they were not able to achieve...
Releasing an album on vinyl and creating a DIY music video for a song.
In this new project, Campfire Kids, the team are focused on making this happen. Tom and Drew have teamed up with Emma Holley and are well into the song writing process, the group will begin recording, mixing and mastering the album next month and plan to wrap up the album by August with a full release in October. Also during this time we will fully document the process AND create our own music video!
This release will consist of 500 CD's, 300 Vinyl LP's, a Digital Version, and the single music video. And YOU can be there for the ride! The entire process will take $4,600 (including the Amazon/Kickstarter fees) for equipment, to press the cd's and vinyl's and shipping to you guys so we're reaching out to the Kickstarter community to not only help fund our project but to get to know about us and our project. Our video updates will keep you in on the action as we work closer to the release!
