I have been creating custom gowns and alterations for over 10 years at my small sewing shop, Celestial Designs. In that time, I've come to understand exactly how to fit the shape and size of every woman. My lingerie line Camerie, blends my love of custom fit with my education in fashion design. The dilemma is, I have a folder full of sketches, but I lack the funding to execute them. High quality materials come at a high cost, but a worthwhile one when clients view their custom designs for the first time.
The video of Camerie is from my first runway show at the Fall Bridal Fair in Anchorage, Alaska. I chose to work with camouflage materials because there has been a high demand from customers for a lingerie line that will keep their men on the hunt year round. I love to think outside the box and show that anything can be made classy. My line of camo pieces was right on target! In fact, I sold the camo corset (the first look of the video) right off the model.
My goal is to create 12 new looks by January 2014 to be debuted at the 2014 Alaska Bridal Fair Runway Show.
In addition, I would like to take Camerie one step further by hosting in-home lingerie parties where customers can view and feel a variety of samples from the comfort of their homes. This allows women not only to select the materials and style of their lingerie, but to be a part of the entire design process.
I am so excited about the future of Camerie. Please join me on my quest to create unique lingerie for every woman. Your help will go towards fabric and supplies, marketing materials, and Kickstarter fees.

Risks and challenges
One of the challenges that I face is TIME. I have a continuous flow of work from my current shop, Celestial Designs. It can be hard to find time for Camerie. However, I have been creating a workforce throughout the years without even knowing it. On the side, I teach sewing lessons and have a handful of students that want to come on board with Camerie. In fact, they helped with looks in the video!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
