Anoushka Warden's celebrated play "My Mum's a Twat" - her funny and honest account of losing her mum to a cult - comes to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August.

But, we need your help! We need to raise money to make this new production the best it possibly can be in Edinburgh, as we look at the future and plan for the play's next steps across the UK and internationally.

This time, Anoushka will be performing her own story on stage in Edinburgh throughout the month of August in a new production directed by Debbie Hannan, following the critically acclaimed and sold-out run at the Royal Court in January 2018.

"An ultimately joyous testament to teenage resilience." - Time Out

The costs of presenting work at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe are huge - venue hire, sky high accommodation costs and a very competitive marketing environment all make it an expensive place to present work. The show will not make a profit during this first run, so we're relying on the generosity of others to make it happen.

Why do it? Edinburgh still remains one of the best possible places to launch a show. For the month of August, promoters and programmers from around the world descend on the city, all looking for exciting new work for their venues and festivals. We plan to use Edinburgh as a launchpad for the show, to secure national and international interest in future touring. Phoebe Waller-Bridge's FLEABAG started life at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe just a few short years ago...

We've put together a selection of incredible money-can't-buy experiences, all generously donated by our friends and colleagues in the industry. These are perfect experiences for the avid theatre goer, or the person in your life who has aspirations to enter the industry.

Rewards include the chance to have lunch with an Olivier award winning playwright, a Photo shoot, exclusive access to rehearsals and more...

So - please dig deep! Your support is vital to the success of the show (now and in the future). We truly appreciate your support!

Risks and challenges

We are very close to the start of the run, and need this final push to make the show all it can be and to secure the audience it deserves.
