THE FILM // Brian Price and Kevin Necessary, founders of Plum St. Productions LLC, have been dealing with anxiety for as long as they can remember. Sparked from similar experiences in dealing with anxiety and their love of storytelling, is how the idea “Call Me” came into fruition. This short film tells a story about a man who suffers from anxiety, and suddenly meets a girl. She seems to be interested, and hands him her number but he just can’t seem to simply pick up the phone and dial. The 5-minute short film will take audiences through all the emotional experiences of the character, purging through the doubts and apprehensive state of consciousness that will hopefully help him cope. In the end, the directors hope you can understand the challenges of anxiety and somehow give some hope to you or others you may know that suffer from it.
