I've had these for a quite a while and I love them. I use them almost every day and have had absolutely no issues. The sounds quality is pretty unreal. Thanks for a great set of headphones!
the sound is great i cant deny, its no where as comfortable as the beats headphone though, and the left cord stopped working so i only get sound from the right speakers, wasn't worth the funding to be honest.
It has only been about 7 months since I received my silverados and the cord has already stopped working in one ear. On your website, it says that any defects outside of normal wear and tear are covered under a one-year warranty. Would I be able to get the cords replaced? Thanks.
Anyone find a good source for replacing the cords on the Silverados?
@Tim Hickman I contacked Joanne at the email address you provided and RMA'd my Laredos following her directions. They arrived at the RMA address on Jan 14th according to the package tracking. It is now Feb 2nd, almost 3 weeks later, and I still have not yet received a replacement set. I've emailed Joanne a few times asking for a follow up, with no response. Can you shine any light on things?
Mark, you're complaining about your headphones not working.... I haven't even received mine. I have no response what so ever from these guys.
Like some others below, I have not heard from you after leaving two messages on your web site's form, though you say that you will respond within 72 hours. I'm the guy with the kickstarter laredos who has no visible damage, but the phones stopped working after a short tug on the cord. Please remember your funders.
Are there any news/ideas/progress regarding design of the cable with audio controls?

The Laredo headphones are made of plastic hinges, because they broke on me. So much for durability, now I got them attached with duct tape, and I don't recommend these because customer service doesn't respond to my, 3 messages. I need a small plastic part . No response after a few weeks. Will not be buying again and I will spread the word and the duct tape says a lot. All I need now is a 3 D printer to repair these headphones.
Urban Outfitters on Broadway in Manhattan are selling their remaining Laredos for 39.95 , that is a good deal.
If this goes commercial, I would include an 1/8 to 1/4 adapter that is styled to the plug used. It's design does not work with some adapters. Had to try a few before I found one that worked.

I shot an email you guys about my headphones. I love them but one of the phones broke already. Please advise on what to do.
@Ted: on october 12th update #22 was published showing a picture of the shiny LE, announcing they would go into production. so you could have known they would be shiny instead of matt/brushed.
I agree with you the matt/brushed look was much nicer, although this is personally.
The sound is fenominal, shiny or brushed.
I received my LE yesterday. Had to pay almost half of what I had already paid to get it processed through customs by the company that processes FedEx deliveries here in Iceland.
No brushed look on the metal as the original picture shows. The headphones are a lot lighter than I expected, I assumed they would be heavier due to the metal in them. There is some weird discoloration on the edges where leather was fastened together, I'm guessing it's some kind of glue to keep the edges from fraying. In any case, it is of darker color than the rest of the leather and it is noticable.
(finally) received my Limited Editions yesterday! They are nicely constructed. I thought the foam on the earcups would be a little softer, but I assume they'll break in. And I was surprised the metal would be a brushed metal appearance as in the picture, while they are a full chrome. They certainly work, even with those minor issues.

My Laredo headset left plastic plate broke that holds the speaker arm in place. I tried 3 times to get in contact through email over the last week, granted it is the holidays. I thought I might give this avenue a try. I need a replacement part.
No, I haven't received mine. I'm starting to think they put out fake updates just to shut us up for a couple days.

Perhaps some information concerning this silence and our worries adressed to the writers of the articles of the magazines/papers as shown on the internet site of CHC (http://www.californiaheadphones.com/) is a way to trigger something.
I defenetly consider this option when this silence contignous.
Publishing poitive articles is one but when things seem to turn the other side this also may be shown to the potential customers/buyers.
It is up to Tim and his crew.
I hope i here something within a week or i think i am going to ask for a refund because this is getting really odd...

I purchased the regular silverados as part of the beta program. The day I received them (Sept 12) I emailed them immediately saying they were defective (broken can) and still have not heard back after emailing several people in their company.
