We have returned with a scaled back, Issue by Issue plan to get our comic created and into readers hands!
Issue 1 is already complete and available in many formats, including on ComiXology. Now we're back and bringing you the Second Chapter!
Alter-Life is only 5 issues, and we intend on bringing them to readers BACK-TO-BACK as quickly as possible. Funding will be used to pay for art, printing, and shipping. Any additional funds will go directly into Issue 3. So, the more we can raise this time, the less we need for the next one.
3/23 NEW VIDEO!
What is Alter-Life?
Imagine, if you will, that all possible worlds exist and that they are just as real as the world we live in. If one's consciousness was able (at the time of death) to suddenly escape one world, one body, and enter another, true death would only come at the moment all of those worlds cease to exist.
Alter-Life is a way to experience those other lives. Those other existences. It is a way to put a stopper in death, to extend one's existence beyond what we know as "Life."
It is the only way to keep living. To stay in memory so that all may benefit from any singular existence.
We have the answer to THE question, "What comes after life?"
Nothing without Alter-Life.
3/28 NEW PANELS!
At the request of a new fan and backer, I have added a NEW REWARD TIER. You can now get the Variant Cover ONLY along with issue 1 if you want to catch up with Alter-Life and skip out on the official cover by Kunstmann. (Thanks goes out to Jennifer for the request and improvement to the campaign!)
UPDATE 3/3 - Summary Video Added!
For those of you who are new to the story of Alter-Life, this is a tragic tale of a man named Jake. An average guy who has dreams of becoming a writer, but is down on his luck, and recently went through a traumatic event that took the lives of both his wife and daughter.
Reeling from the loss and ready to give up on his dreams and his existence, Jake decides to take his own life. Through this action, he discovers that he cannot die, again and again he returns and every time he does, the world around him is slightly different.
In issue 1 you saw a man dealing with the shock of a reality he never knew existed.
Issue 2 begins to unravel the mystery behind Alter-Life. Jake starts to test the limits of his infinite timelines and remembers more about what happened after the accident. Mysterious forces are at work, and something lurks in the shadows with the answers to all of his questions.

The indie comic support in the blog and podcast realm, as well as in social media in general, has been amazing. Over the many months since Alter-Life #1 was completed, I have been working hard to spread the word about the series and get people excited about future issues. Come subscribe to our email list and take a look at all of the articles, podcasts, and reviews of both Thusat/Kunstmann comics Alter-Life and ZED at my website, Villagecomicbooks.com.

Risks and challenges
I have funded two comics, Alter-Life Issue #1 and ZED #1, and, with the help of other filmmakers, the feature film Chrysalis on Kickstarter. This is not a new process for me, and the process will only get more fine-tuned every time we fund a new issue.
We gurantee that you will be getting your products if you back our project, and take pride in getting our comics out in the timeframe we promise. So, rest assured, if you back and we hit our goal, you will be getting some amazing stuff.
Risks are minimal and art takes time, but we will get this comic into your hands as fast as we can without compromising quality.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
