As one who makes a living as a Soul Food Chef, I've had to realize myself that indeed our eating habits and food preparations are truly to our demise and have slowly learned to adapt recipes while trying to stay true to what makes our food soulful. So with that said, I eagerly await this film because it is a cultural state of being that needs to be recognized and at the very least deserves an educated, national dialogue. Kudos Mr. Hurt.

This is an incredibly important project on African American culture! Byron has done great work with his films in the past, and I'm so excited about this new film.
