Imagine the Possibilities — Light Different.
The new Ellum Solar is an intuitive smart light, embedded with sensors that illuminate the dark when motion is detected. Meaningfully designed, the Ellum attaches magnetically and has a touch dimmer to manually adjust the brightness of the light, wherever you need it. Thoughtfully simple, a solar panel spans the bottom of Ellum, making charging wire free and always available.
Designed to the Last Detail.
Reworked, refined and distilled, the new Ellum is inventive design that is purposefully formed. The body and mount conceals the aligning neodymium magnets, allowing the Ellum to be adjustable and easily detachable. The underside conceals a huge solar panel and LED diffuser. Precision made from solid hardwood, it is handcrafted in-house by Feltmark in Los Angeles.

Feltmark® is a Los Angeles based studio brand made from an intersection of multidisciplinary backgrounds in philosophy, industrial design and bespoke manufacturing. Our studio crafts versatile home accessories that embody patience, craftsmanship and usefulness.
Felmark was created in 2015 by childhood friends - James Choi and David Okum. Passionate about design, both went on to become award winning designers in their respected fields. Graduating from the Design program at Otis, James went on to work on critically acclaimed films and television with various studios; ending his time with the design team at Apple after 3 years. David has studied Product and Environmental Design at Art Center in Pasadena. He started his design practice in 2013, past experiences include works with Herman Miller and Bernhardt Design.

Ellum Solar is a honest and skillfully crafted product. Made from quality materials, it requires specialized manufacturing and knowledge to execute.
For the past 4 years, we have developed and manufactured our own designs. Beginning from developing components, to creating our own tools, to building out the infrastructure needed for production. Our approach has been to combine manufacturing into the design process.
Ellum Solar is the second iteration of Ellum Smart Lights, with the original being released in 2015. From the lessons we have learned in the production of the original Ellum, it has allowed us to refine the Ellum even further to make a smarter and more affordable product. Working together with our electronics manufacture, we have continued to push what the future of lighting can be.
