Bug Movie World Premiere Announced!
Well the day I (we) have all been waiting for and working towards has finally arrived! I'm honored to announce that "The Bug: Life and Times of the Peoples Car" will screen publicly for the first time at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival on February 28, 2016! Our film has been chosen as the closing night film at this awesome event and I couldn't be happier. A substantial amount of the film was shot here in Montana, so it really makes sense to screen it here for the first time. If your backer reward included tickets to the screening and/or a party invite, we'll be in touch with details very soon.
This has been an amazing (actually kickass) journey. I would have called you a liar 2 years ago if you told me I'd be hanging out in Hollywood with movie stars, zipping through the German countryside with the top down, driving through the hills above Acapulco with cartel cabbies, or tethered to a helicopter skid filming an opening credit sequence, all in the name of The Bug Movie. I wouldn't trade the experiences (good and bad) for anything. And YOU helped make it happen. So thank you. I gave this thing my All through thick and thin, and I know it took me longer than predicted, so thanks for hanging in there with me. I'm a better filmmaker after making this one and feel stronger knowing that I had your support. The encouraging emails and comments were the little extra gas in the tank that I needed to hit finish-line.
As I scramble to put the final touches on the film over the next month, I'll do my best to update you on the progress and send more info your way including details about your soon-to-come rewards.
