Today is a good day... for monsters to die...
When your party is hired to do a house-cleaning on an abandoned dungeon, this probably wasn't what they had in mind... They're immediately teleported to the bottom of a massively-infested dungeon and the only way out is to fight their way back to the surface, killing as many monsters as they can along the way. But there's a plus-side...
The more monsters they kill, the more powerful they become, earning temporary special abilities along the way. Kill enough skeletons and they'll develop their own resistance to slashing and piercing weapons. Kill enough wights and they'll be the ones level-draining their opponents. Kill enough gorgons and their gaze will turn their enemies to stone... Will your players clean house, or will they get their clocks cleaned? Find out in this epic dungeon that gives a party of low-level characters powers and abilities beyond their wildest dreams...

LATEST UPDATE (3/30): We've added a CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE pledge level that will let you custom build a package that includes any or all of our supplements and modules from our previous Kickstarter. (Add-ons can also be added to any pledge level.) Scroll down to see everything we have to offer!
You can also click here to download a sample of The Crucible, the first module in the Lost Dungeons of Xon series.
What is The Lost Dungeons of Xon?
The Lost Dungeons of Xon is an original series of interactive roleplaying e-modules designed to be inserted into any campaign world. This Kickstarter presents the second adventure in the series, Bathed in Blood, designed for a party of 3rd to 4th level PCs. It can be played standalone, or as a follow-up to our first module, The Crucible.
For backers at the $10 DESTROYER level or higher, this Kickstarter also includes Therigard's Monstrous Encounter Guide, a series of one-shot encounters that can either be used to augment the Xon modules or inserted into any existing campaign, and a Kickstarter-exclusive mini-module designed to be used with Dwarven Forge's Castle Builder tiles.
What systems will the module support?
The Lost Dungeons of Xon features full support for Pathfinder and 5th Edition. Each system will have its own PDF, which will include system-specific stats and rules.
What makes our modules different?
Our modules are loaded with interactive features that you won't find anywhere else. The PDFs will have many advanced features, including:
- Hyperlinks to external spell and monster stats
- Links to explainer videos which help you prepare for and run the module
- Easy one-click navigation to anywhere in the module
- Password-unlockable player content
- Professional sound effects and narration
- Landscape format for optimized use on laptops and tablets
Because our module is designed specifically to leverage the capabilities of e-publishing, it will only be available in digital format.
What do I get for my pledge?
If you back at the $5 EXPLORER level, you will receive the Bathed in Blood module in interactive PDF format, in the supported game system of your choice (5th Edition or Pathfinder).
At the $10 DESTROYER level, you'll also receive the Therigard's Monstrous Encounter Guide. This interactive PDF will begin with five fully-fleshed out encounters that can either be used to augment The Lost Dungeons modules OR inserted into any existing campaign. Unlocked stretch goals will increase the number of encounters in the guide. In addition, you'll get a Kickstarter-exclusive Castles mini-module!
What if I missed the previous Xon Kickstarter?
If you're new to The Lost Dungeons of Xon series, you can still play just Bathed in Blood by itself as a standalone module. Or if you'd like to also get some or all of the material from our previous Kickstarter, we've got three more great options for first-time backers:
The $20 INITIATE level includes everything from the Destroyer level PLUS our original Lost Dungeons of Xon: The Crucible module and its companion digital player's guide, four interactive prequel adventures, and pre-generated characters designed specifically for use with the Lost Dungeons of Xon series.
Or you can pledge at any level (including the new $1 CHOOSE YOUR WN ADVENTURE level) and pick and choose from our list of paid add-ons below.
Or you can jump in full force at the $45 TOTAL CARNAGE level. This level includes everything in the Destroyer level, plus every add-on below and every digital reward from our previous Kickstarter campaign. This massive bundle includes:
Finally, for new and returning members, we're offering the $150 YETI FOR LIFE pledge level, where you'll get everything from the Total Carnage level, plus every digital reward Burning Yeti Studios offers through this and all future Kickstarter campaigns. You'll also be able to get a first-look at select content, before it is delivered to any other backers.
If you missed our first campaign, you can pick up any of our modules or supplements in this campaign as add-ons, Just increase your pledge by each add-on you wish to receive, and you'll be able to let us know which specific ones you want using our pledge manager after the campaign ends.
$2,500: UNLOCKED! All backers at the $10 level or higher will receive a Digital Player's Guide companion to the Bathed in Blood module. This PDF will be optimized for tablets and phones and will contain maps, clues, story background and more for your players.
$3,000: UNLOCKED! We'll add another encounter to the Monstrous Encounter Guide, making it 20% more monstrous!
$4,000: UNLOCKED! We'll develop an exclusive, custom stat-tracker app, designed specifically to enhance the Bathed in Blood module. This app will work on tablets, desktops and mobile devices, and will let both you and your players keep track of the boons and abilities they gain as they progress through the dungeon.
$5,000: LOCKED: If we reach $5,000, we'll create a party of pre-generated PCs designed specifically to be used with the Bathed in Blood module, available in both 5th Edition and Pathfinder formats.

No Surprises Section
While we endeavor to ensure that all the features of our interactive PDFs work on as many platforms as possible, it’s still a relatively recent technology. We do extensive testing, but we can’t always account for certain versions of software and operating systems. To fully utilize the features of the PDFs, you may have to download a new version of Adobe Reader to your laptop, desktop or tablet, or install the latest system updates for your device.
Due to the interactive nature of the PDF, the GM should plan to have a computer or tablet on hand to run the module. If the players have technology as well, their experience can be enhanced by using the Digital Player's Guides, but they are not required. All the information in the player's guides will also be available as printable content.
Finally, while we have already begun development on Bathed in Blood, there may be changes before the final version, including which monsters appear in the module.
Risks and challenges
As with any creative endeavor, the biggest challenge will be delivering the items on time. Fortunately, we’ve already completed and delivered all the interactive PDFs from our previous campaign, so we have a good sense of how long it will take to complete this project.
While we’ve allotted an appropriate amount of time for play-testing in our production schedule, there is always the possibility that player feedback could necessitate changes. In the unlikely event that happens, a delay might be unavoidable.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
