Have a question?
I emailed you a while back about my pledge and access to everything on the website, but I never got an email or anything.
And if you haven't seen it yet, check out our current Kickstarter for Episode II... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/burningyeti/xon-ii-bathed-in-blood-an-epic-hack-and-slash-dung
If anyone else hasn't received their rewards from this Kickstarter, shoot us a message via Kickstarter and we'll get you your link.
@Phillip: Links to the account manager were sent out last year... perhaps yours landed in the spam folder or there was a problem with the e-mail going through. Sorry about that. Check your Kickstarter account messages for the link to your rewards.
I have yet to receive anything has anyone else had an issue?
I ran the dungeon of Xon a while back and it was a big hit. The party was really gnashing their teeth trying to find the objects since no one wanted to touch the 'gold' powder in the other room.
Did anything ever become of this?
I fixed it somehow by following the original link to the account page sent to us. Odd.
I am having same issue with reset password as Rick did. Won't take my password and won't send me a reset email.
@Mark: The download limit is just to prevent piracy, and once you hit the limit you can immediately extend it by three more just by clicking a button. If you download the file six times and still need the limit extended again, you can contact us and we'll extend it again. We'll probably eventually make the files available for purchase on sites like DriveThruRPG, but to do all the stuff we wanted with the interactive walkthroughs, unlockable content for players and more, a custom solution was the only option.
@Rick: Sorry about that... just sent you a new password.
Had I known the rewards would be delivered through a custom web site, I probably wouldn't have pledged. The 3 download limit is ridiculous, and this is yet one more place I have to go to manage my library of digital assets.
It won't let me login to download the files. This happened last time also. Says password is wrong but I'm using the one that Jeff setup last time. Link to reset password won't email me either.
We'll have an update on the status of stuff-to-be-released later tonight.
any word on when the other two prequel adventures will go live? I am waiting on them to start a game,.
By the way: More Reaper Bones miniatures for more adventures in the Reaper Bones III Kickstarter running at the moment.
Been having fun playing with the account manager. The adventure itself come out great, too!
Very nice account manager.
Still on track for launch on Monday, but we're looking for a few testers to go through the Account Manager system and make sure everything works as intended. We'll need you to give detailed feedback on what you've tested and whether or not you ran into any issues, and we'll need that feedback by Sunday afternoon at the latest. If you're interested, drop us a message.
That was no yeti....that was a Bumble!
Gonna tell GABY on you "Gamers Against Burning Yeti's"!
Getting a bit excited - as the various pledge levels get fufilled!!!!! Got my inquiry form in my email...
@Genre_Fad: Thanks! I had missed it so far. I'm a bit of an Elmore fanboy, too!
One of my favorite characters was a Half-Elf named Vanlin - also known as the Archer. We were a fairly mid to high level party 6th -10th level when he got a +3 Longbow as part of the treasure. When we compared notes, it seemed like everyone in the party had magic arrows that they had received at various times - nearly 100 of multiple types. So, in the spirit of good fun, Vanlin had a special quiver made (the size of a backpack and carried instead of a backpack) along with cold iron arrow heads, metal ball arrow heads (blunt damage), arrows with Continual Light cast on them (and Continual Dark), glass ball ammo (tried acid, but then the acid head broke and caused the special quiver to be destroyed - so Holy Water it is!), silver arrows.... You get the idea. After a while, when the party would enter me lee, he would hang back to protect MUs and provide missile support - ah, the Good Times....
Continual Light arrows were especially good for dropping into pits, shooting ahead of the party to see further (though the DM almost always made them one use items that broke or bent after using...).
Continual Dark arrows were used primarily in retreat situations....
Silver, Iron and Blunt Head arrows have their obvious uses...
Holy Water Arrows usually did 1d3 damage plus 1d3 to creatures whom Holy Water damages....
Tried to use Oils (magic and mundane) in arrow heads, but DM ruled that amount was too small to cause effect (and rightfully so; else Oil of Etheralness and/or Slipperiness would have been shop everywhere....). Was also going to use with Extra Healing Potions, shoot you buddy with a arrow to deliver healing.... (Again, not allowed by DM... Did give me 100xp for great idea).
If I recall correctly, backpack cost 100gp had 6 small sections (3 on each side for specialty arrows) that could hold 6 arrows each and two medium sized compartments (20 arrow size - used for +1 and +2 arrows) and one large compartment (40 arrows, I paid extra to have them all be silver, like a signature trade mark!).
(Just spreading the word to those who may want to know=
Any fans of DragonLance art should check out Larry Elmore's latest KickStarter. His first artbook is one of my favorite Kickstarter treasures.
Limbo Surehands, as a young Gnome he received the name Limbo from the Humans in his very first adventure - they couldn't pronounce his Gnomish name so they gave him one as close as possible. The "honorific" Surehands was given after he successfully made his first 23 dexterity rolls (to include a couple of 5% or lower rolls) and which lead to saving the party at least twice...
We do still have a few spots available in the Inner Circle... our first live meeting (via Google hangout) is actually planned for this coming Monday. We don't have our pledge manager up-and-running yet, but if you're interested in joining the Inner Circle, shoot an e-mail to us at info[at]burningyeti.com.
Can I upgrade my contribution to "The Inner Circle" at $100... Character name "Vanshatar, High priest to the sleeping god"?
My brother is happy; I just added one of his long-standing characters, Rhystal Cromen, as my NPC of choice for the module. :-)
Yeah Survey! WooHoo!!!
Kobold Press is running a KS with "advanced" races for the Pathfinder system. Sadly, there is no Yeti among the new races (could be a stretch goal, though). But some of the races sound very interesting ... just search for "advanced races" on KS (I don't know if Burning Yeti find such posts out of line, so I'll not post the link here).
Sorry, can't help myself. http://www.kateoberg.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Yeti-card.png
Congrats on the KS, let the burning begin!
So now since we all have this new wonderful module and plenty of extras we now need friends to play with and since some of us have friends that are towns, states, half a world away; not everyone will get a chance to be included. :( Might I suggest? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/389138591/virtual-table-top
Maybe a few of the Grubfinkels could be for 2nd-3rd level characters since there must be enough material at this point for an advancement...
Congratulations! I guess I'll be breaking out a growler tonight.
Congrats on the fire! I mean KS!
We already burned the stuffed one. (No camera tricks in the opening of our video.) But hey, now we can afford a new one. :-D
Congrats! Hopefully not Yeti's being set on fire.
haha awesome glad somebody jumped in there- Congratulations on the successful campaign and the #3 all-time backed module slot!
WooT! Yeti Celebration tonight... things WILL be set on fire.
Congratulations guys. Looking forward to the results of your effort!
808 backers ... NICE!
Congrats on a successful reboot.
Congrats to the Burning Yeti folks!
Someone jumped in as #808! WHOOT!!!
