New creatures - in-game and in-team!

Dear friends of Days of Dawn.

Finally some news from Kalea! Our wonderful creature artist Caro just finished working on the concept artwork of a new creature: a floating being obviousely influenced by the magical powers recently felt on Kalea. Where might it come from? What is its relation to magic?

She's already working on new creatures, here's some first sketches. A floating one-eyed Rhombor and a giant-pawed digger.

New team members

Also great news regarding the team: We got two new team-members!

Hannah Müller is having an internship at bumblebee. and will be supporting us in terms of game- and quest-design. She's already knee-deep in the game and can't wait to leave her marks on Days of Dawn.

Bastian Raschegewski is a new full-time employed coder in our team. In the past he's been working on games like Legends of Pegasus (Novacore/Kalypso) and has already given Days of Dawn a direct connection from Articy:Draft, our storywriting tool, into Unity. Thanks to him, all content (dialogues, quests...) written in Articy can be brought into Days of Dawn as simple as pressing a button.

Lady in red

As we love to point out beautiful games here on kickstarter, here's another one, Red Goddess from Yanim Studios. It looks great and definitely hasn't gotten the attention it deserves, so please consider taking a look on

Expect our next update on march 26 with some great news.

Thank you and all the best,

To be fair, he hasn't been coding the whole game - he's been responsible for the fleet system, tool tips and some sections of the UI.
But rest assured, as he's in our team for two months already, that everything he's done so far has been fast, brilliant and clean. He's done a great job on creating the Articy-Connection, added a nifty mini-map to Days of Dawn and has been working on the Steam-Port of GhostControl Inc., everything fast and flawless.

I'm happy with the new art sample.
And I'm also going to google Legends now :P

I'm generally happy about this update, but I do want to caution Mr Raschegewski against using "Legends of Pegasus" as a reference. The game was and is buggy to the core and was abandoned by its developers. Many who bought the game are either disappointed or angry about the whole affair.
