Official WiiU Developer & a beautiful Art-Print

Dear friends of Days of Dawn.

It's only nine days left, but we almost reached 50% of the goal. Let's try to reach those 50% this weekend! We've got some cool news for you today:

Nintendo WiiU-Developer

We are very, very proud to tell you that we are now an official Nintendo WiiU Developer – a WiiU version of Days of Dawn is now within reach! Definitely a dream platform for the game.

Art-Print Canvas signed by Tyler Edlin

Here's a another very beautiful add-on that's capable of upgrading every home to a museum of games-art: Get one of Tyler Edlin's awesome concept-artworks (village or keep) as a high-quality canvas-print, signed personally by the artist himself and limited to this kickstarter-campaign. The prints are available in two sizes:

  • 71x38cm / ~28x15" for $250
  • ~100x61cm / ~40x24" for $350

By increasing your pledge by the specific sum, you'll be able to choose your design of this stunning add-on (which will be delivered early this year) after the successful funding.

If you'd like to order more than one print, please take care not to pledge for more than ten of a kind due to kickstarter guidelines. Thank you!

Ask Me Anything

We're also going to launch an Ask-Me-Anything-session next wednesday. Prepare your questions about Days of Dawn or Bumblebee in general! Additional details coming soon.

We'd like to say thank you once more for your wonderful support, your nice mails that make our days, your incredible pledges and for being here with us.

All the best to you,
the Bumblebees.

      Cool. I shall share your post [and this update] as soon as my main PC comes back online. Shoulda had my PSU tonight, but it looks like FedEx messed up...

      I hereby promise: If we make it through this campaign successfully there will be a WiiU-version of the game. We may come back later for another WiiU-specific funding, we may find a publisher, we may even do it all on our own, but it will come.

      @Bumblebee
      Does this mean the Wii U version is definitely coming, or is it still just a stretch goal? If it is definitely on its way, I know several people willing to throw down some cash to help you guys. I'd also like to ask if an eShop version can be backed through this campaign. I'd back some extra as an add-on if it were available ;)

      @Nikki
      I have both the Wii and Wii U, and they are amazing consoles with stellar games. Your comment is rather small-minded, but I can name a few stand out games if you want. Several games for the Wii I could mention are at the top or near the top of my list for any seventh gen console game. Besides, Nintendo has the best indie policy available. This news is from very trusted sources - including Frozenbyte.

      Those canvases are awesome. If only I had that kind of money to spare.

      Eeep who the heck uses a Wii?

      Glad you like this update!

      By officially registering with Nintendo – they obviously liked what they've seen ;)

      Woah, how did you get a Wii U Dev kit?

    9. Bumblebee. 3-time creator on February 15, 2013

      No way! Each version will get the best out of its platforms possibilities and the PC/Mac/Linux-version will still be the "mother of all versions".

      As long as you don't make the PC version look like we are playing it on a crappy little device, all will be well.

      How awesome is that?

      Awesome news about the WiiU development. This type of game would be awesome on that system. Also, those canvas-prints are beautiful... But a little out of my price range unfortunately. I would love to have that bottom one on my wall.
