Bubl Downloadable Desktop App - Alpha

Posted by Bubl Technology Inc. (Creator)

We have been working extremely hard at providing you with the best products possible, but we are still very much in our infancy. However! We wanted you to see the potential for our product the way that we do. We see video playback that is quite a bit more robust then what we are capable of presenting through our online players today. Because of your help we will be able to advance our online player so it is as robust as our desktop and mobile app players.

To experience Bubl videos and photos please follow these easy steps:

Step 1 - Download the Player and Content

Just click the links and select Download. It will either be directly below the app or in the Top Right Corner of videos and photos. You can then select Direct Download to get the Bubl video or photos.

Step 2 - Install the Player

Once the app is downloaded, open and install the .AIR app. You can then drag and drop videos and photos into the app window as you like. You may need to install AIR on your computer separately. If so you can click this link to do so

Step 3 - Play

Bubl's apps and Players include specific image enhancement features. They can be found by clicking the gear icon found in the player control bar. We have not been able to fully optimize the image that is coming off of the camera so the app will allow you to adjust these features to ensure your image is being presented the way you want to see it. In the future you will be able to save these features so you can present your content to others as you like it.

Thank you for sharing the development status.
Do I have to prepare the stitching application such like PTGui or AutoPano something before I receive the bublcam of early bird's present?

@John: I figured out what was wrong. The files I downloaded earlier did not download correctly and they were broken. After downloading the media from above list, this time it worked. I tested it with the Aquarium MP4 and the Tomorrow World JPG. It is a great little application. Thank you for posting it.

I am in the same boat as Amir. I have installed the BublDesktop app. When I run it, I get a window with "Drag and drop a photo or video into this area to view". When I drop any of the sample files that I downloaded from the links above onto the BublDesktop window, nothing happens.

Works great here on Ubuntu Studio 12.04. First I installed the latest Adobe AIR for Windows (3.9) with Wine. Then installed BublDesktop. I expected a lot of hassle, but the installation really couldn't be simpler.

Thanks for your reply. When it starts up it's the blue screen that says drop any video or image into the screen to play. I downloaded your sample images and video and they don't play when I drop to the plater, also they don't play or show when I play with VLC or Windows media player, it says it cannot render. I tried dropping ordinary MP4 and JPG files onto the BublDesktop player and nothing happens either. Should I be able to play your videos with regular media players? Maybe there is a codec problem. The BublDesktop installed fine and it does start up fine and shows the blue screen with text, but at the moment does not play anything. I have all the possible codecs and never had problems with other clips, as I do edit video and usually it all works fine. Did anyone else have problem after installation? anyone succeeded in playing the panoramic video samples?

I am having troubles installing the BublDesktop.air application. It keeps saying "Sorry, an error has occurred. The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author." Running Windows 7 - 64-bit

      Hi Amir,

Can you describe your issue in further detail? We have tested this process across a number of different computers (Mac and PC, even Mac with VWWare running Windows 7 & 8) so we are pretty confident it that it will work across many different platforms.

When you open the player, what do you see?

If you drag and drop content into the player what happens?

Let us help you get things working.

Thanks for this, I wasn't able to play it. I have the latest Air installed. Nither photo or video play when I drop it in the BublDesktop app window. I have Windows 7 64bit.
