So...we made it.
Finally, at long last, "THE DROP BOX" IS COMING TO DVD. But, before it hits Walmart and Amazon on July 10th, and then Netflix in the fall, we wanted to send you your free copy :)
If you are a donor who qualifies, please send your current mailing address to firstname.lastname@example.org (Subject line: Drop Box Rewards). We know it's been a long journey, but here a few highlights that are sure to make you smile:
1.) The Drop Box Trailer (from our assessment) is the most-viewed documentary promo on the entire Internet, clocking in at over 7.2 MILLION views to date. That's more than "Blackfish," "Monkey Kingdom," and "Batkid Begins" combined.
2.) "The Drop Box" theatrical release was seen by nearly 300,000 theater attendees, making it the 3rd highest-grossing Fathom Event of all time, right behind "One Direction" and "Doctor Who." Getting down to brass tacks, "The Drop Box" grossed approximately 3.3 MILLION dollars domestically in 4 nights.
3.) "The Drop Box" Film has been featured on a host of media outlets including Fox News 11, The Hollywood Reporter, The Blaze, The Washington Times, The San Francisco Globe, Elite Daily, The Gospel Coalition, Relevant Magazine, and Christianity Today. The film's Facebook page also rests at a sizable 258,194 likes.
4.) Together with Focus on The Family, Kindred Image (Pastor Lee's non-profit), has raised 1.4 MILLION dollars online for both Korean orphans and children in American foster care.
5.) Because of donations from around the world, Pastor Lee and his 20-person family are now living in a more spacious home, and their old facility is being converted into a maternity shelter for mothers in crisis.
6.) Along with a number of other families, Faith and Ryan Mahoney decided to adopt a child with special needs after witnessing Pastor Lee’s story in "The Drop Box." We are so humbled by the impact of this film.
7.) As my good friend Drew once said, Pastor Lee is "living proof of a loving God." In "The Drop Box," what we see is not simply a compassionate pastor caring for abandoned children, but in fact, the very heart of God on display for a lost world. Only heaven knows how many have come home.
Thanks for believing,
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." - John, The Bible
