Hello and welcome to my project!
Like I said in the video, my name's Bryn, I'm a digital painter. I currently work in the board game industry as an artist. I've also worked in advertising and independent comics, along with painting sci fi art for folks here on the Kickstarter platform.
I started painting portraits for people on Kickstarter a few years ago. There's a really positive vibe when I do this type of thing, and it's a great way for me to connect with you guys on Kickstarter that have been supporting me on my artistic journey.
The way the project works, is that you pick a style of portrait you like (see below) and select the appropriate pledge tier. Then you send me a photo, or a selection of photos - I will contact you about how to send them. Then I knuckle down and work hard at my computer to get them painted for you.
Here are the portrait styles...
Tier One - Pencil - A digital pencil sketch with a soft textured background.
Tier Two - Oil Square - Painted in a way that mimics a traditional oil painting, with three styles to choose from.
Tier 3 - Dry Ink - A flurry of digital ink splashes and spots, using off-white and off-black tones.
Tier 3 - Study - A style that replicates a traditional oil portrait study.
Tier 4 - Magenta - A close mix of pinks and blues, with a collection of flowers and abstract brush strokes.
For the printed rewards, you will receive a collection of three prints as well as the high quality digital file. The print sizes are 210 x 297mm, 148 x 210mm, and 105 x 148mm. The square portraits will be trimmed down to a square.
The paper is 200gsm silk. It's a really nice quality photo paper.
Shipping is free!
If you'd like a combination of portraits then feel free to increase your pledge to cover multiple pledge tiers.
For a couple portrait, please increase your pledge by £5 for Tier 1, £15 for Tiers 2 and 3, and £30 for Tier 4.
Please note: a couple portrait is two people on one painting. For separate paintings, please cover the whole pledge amount per portrait.
If you have any other requests then feel free to drop me a message.
Risks and challenges
When it comes to painting the portraits, I don't foresee any issues. Any difficulties can be resolved by spending more time on the pieces. I will require a good photo reference from my backers, but this is something that can be arranged quite easily via email.
To protect the printed rewards in transit, I will pack them in an all board mailer, with some extra card for strength.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
