Our "Barricades and Bunkers" line gives tabletop gamers a variety of themed fortifications to enhance the game-play experience with more visually exciting environments and accessories. We have made several prototypes and are designing many more to include in the campaign as Add-ons and Stretch goals.
Because we have expanded our offering significantly after the launch, we have decided to reorganize the information and make it simpler to see all the options more easily. In the Perks, any time you see a Bunker/Barricade Line think of it as a “Kit Credit” or Ⓚ. Below, we will list all options with pictures and/or descriptions and their add-on cost and Ⓚ cost.
This is a rather large one. This Hex command bunker is more than 12" from point to point making it am imposing battlefield feature. Stylistically it fits right in with the hex walls and gives your troops a fantastic and spacious place to hole up and lay down withering fire upon your enemies.
This Kit comes with a choice of window colors and has a removable lid. The rings on the roof are the same size at the accessory rings for the Gothic Bunker and accept the same variety of standard 3rd party parts.
These expansion kits for the basic bunker bring the bunker’s awesomeness into full swing with options for building a taller bunker, adding an observation deck, or even making a large landing pad for all your hovering vehicles. You can also double up on just one of these expansions for the same cost. Additionally, you can purchase the upgrades individually in the Add-On’s section.
This bridge gives your troops easy access to adjacent bunker platforms and more perches from which to get the perfect firing position. This expansion links together two of the bunker platform expansions. The assembled bridge slots onto the sides of the platforms snugly removing the need to glue it in place and affording you the option to swap and change your configuration or remove it if it destroyed during game-play.
These folding acrylic walls are great for stringing together bunkers and closing the gaps in your defense. The basic kit (approx. 14” long) comes with 3 sections of clear wall and 2 alternate end pieces allowing you to set the ends flush against any vertical surface or the angled side of one of our bunkers. The Acrylic Rods that hold the sections together need not be glued and thus can be removed and end-caps changed for maximum customizability. The colors of the Walls and the rod can be customized. We are working on getting the exact colors for the rods, but as it stands we will most likely be able to offer clear, black and white.
The expansion kit comes with 3 additional segments that will more than double the length of the base kit (adds approx. 16”). Any number of these kits can be added to the base kit to make a gigantic laser barrier. (NOTE: The expansion kit does not include any end caps to terminate your walls.)
You can also double up on just one of these kits for the same cost. Additionally, you can purchase the upgrades individually in the Add-On’s section.
The new modular Road Tile sets are a great way to turn any plain board into a city scape at a moments notice. Each tile is represents 8 inches of road making it more customizable while still making it easy to fit within the confines of any game-board with dimensions that are in 2 foot increments ( ex. 4'x6', 4'x4', etc.) Depending on configuration the Set can cover between 6-8 square feet on the table.
Each Kit includes:
- 6x Straight Tiles
- 4x Curve Tiles
- 2x 3-way stop Tiles
- 1x 4-way stop Tile
- 1x Dead-end Tile
NOTE: Since this photo, there has been a minor redesign. The doors are now recessed to give a more 3D look.
The barracks is a great little building that can take up a little bit of open space on the board and block line of site giving you some cover or just a little more flavor for your landscape. The Barracks, when assembled, measures 3.25"H x 4"W x 5.75"L.
These fantastic buildings are made of high quality hardwood ply-wood with MDF bases and roofs. The wooden parts are easy to paint but more importantly can be stained. Just a little bit of wood stain brings out the natural beauty of the wood and makes it dead easy to get these great looking buildings on the table in a hurry. Alternate stains on different buildings to make the buildings look different and slightly different levels of age.
We plan to expand this line into Steampunk buildings. We are really excited about that too. Each of the building kits include one building, a section of fence and a crate.
Be sure to only let the right ones in with a Gatehouse. It's removable laser gate insert adds awesome visual effect to this giant piece. Alternatively, we will offer an opaque insert for those who want a more solid look. This piece on can be added to a pair of bunkers with the tower expansions.
We have our initial build of our new paint rack together. Here is a picture of the single kit loaded up with paints. The foot piece will like be altered for smaller footprint while maintaining stability. Check the add-on's section for pricing)
We are also making several sets of tokens, markers and movement widgets. We plan to expand the line as we find more interesting and innovative tools and markers to make.
The item below is a front to back measuring widget. For 6" movement you can measure for 25mm, 40mm and 60mm bases an exact 6" move without having to set it next to the model which can be less accurate.
For each base size just place the appropriate side in front of the model and then place the model in front of the widget.
These (below) are intended to help keep track of various things on the battle field. We have noticed that it is common practice to use dice for this, but we also notice that if not properly labeled they can get confusing, left behind when models move or accidentally mixed in with a dice roll.
Risks and challenges
While there are many unforeseen things, including technical issues, that could delay the production of this line of products, we feel that the overall risk are very limited. We have placed our main goal at a high enough amount to ensure that we can at least upgrade our cutter to a higher wattage tube which will decrease our cut time by 75-80%. Our only concern is that we have not installed or tested in person the functionality of the higher wattage tubes. If, somehow, the claims of the manufacturer regarding the increase in productivity were not accurate, that would be an issue that could cause a delay. That said we don't anticipate that, as their products that we have used in the past have worked flawlessly.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
