About this project
The Bruce James Soultet is back in the lab with a batch of new soul drenched tunes and New Orleans flavor (drummer Stephen Bidwell studied at UNO with Johnny Vidacovich and bassist Tim Spivey spent his college years at Loyola - and not to forget David Jimenez' Berklee pedigree) to be recorded at the Nest (www.nestrecording.com) with acclaimed producer/musician/badass JD Foster (http://www.discogs.com/artist/JD+Foster#t=Credits_Production&q=&p=1) manning the console and adding his eclectic expertise to the recording.
We are all family guys with day jobs and families working our tails off just to make ends meet. That being said your investment in the band is the only way this project happens. Make no mistake -- every pledge from 1$ to 10,000$ will not go unnoticed. Consider your self a saint.
The Nest is a top notch studio in Austin TX with a great vibe and gear. As we all know the home studio has really put a hurtin' on the big studios -- the Nest is the best of both worlds. That being said it is expensive to record at great studios especially when using analog tape.
JD Foster is worth every penny as a producer and mixologist and we unanimously feel like he is the right man for the job. Without sounding redundant this is a great expense consider flying him in from NYC and putting him up and showing him the southern hospitality we Texans are know for.
There is the mastering, artwork, and manufacturing which also cost a pretty penny. We also have an incredible publicist. JoRae DiMenno (www.hardpressedpublicity.com) has worked PR for the best of the best not to mention SXSW for over ten years.
Our goal with this record is to mainly build our fan base and ultimately get to Europe with the help of Billy Geoghagan (www.brownpapertickets.com) at Brown Paper Tickets.
The band is frothing at the mouth to get into the studio as soon as possible but without your generosity none of this will be possible. Thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
