Upon success of this Kickstarter, you'll get a 30-min original soundtrack for the game, a PDF booklet outlining the game and some behind the scenes development notes, concepts, and images. In addition, you'll get a high-res detailed isometric map of Broke Protocol, highlighting the most important and hidden spots in the game.
Physical Game Box, Original Soundtrack, and Booklet with Information + Map
This rewards you with a physical game box complete with the game (Steam Key) and physical game booklet. You'll also receive a poster-sized beautifully-rendered isometric map of the game. All mailed directly to your home (in available territories).
Producer Credit & Dev Communication

Here you'll get to submit your vision for personalized skin or clothing options for the game. You contribute directly to a playable character either in vision, or in actual design. You can promote your brand, community, or just your artwork with a cool custom character/clothing design. Also, this will get you a Producer credit in the game. Very Limited supply.
The base game provides you with everything you would want in a low-poly GTA style action/roleplaying game. However, we aim to make a massive, persistent, and limitless world with this game. Where you can really do anything and be anyone.
The following Stretch goals would go a long way to grow the Broke Protocol universe and make the game infinitely replayable and expansive.
Stretch Goal #1 - $22000
More Unique Jobs and Abilities
Right now the game has a career path in law enforcement that (will be expanded on), complete with police station and prison yard for criminals. With this goal, I will be able to include many additional jobs like Medics/EMTs, Firefighters. The helicopters would even be flyable as you take up a job as a news chopper pilot, covering mayhem in the city below.
Stretch Goal #2 - $35000
Players so far have had the city and shops open to them, but no place to call home. This stretch goal would change all that. Players would be able to buy homes where their character can lay low and change outfits to lose the cops, furnish the latest trends in interior design, and invite their crew over to plan the next big heist.
Stretch Goal #3 - $55000
Larger City, Business Center and Countryside/Farmland Areas and Jobs.
With this stretch goal met, I'll be able to expand the city past its limits and add rural landscapes and jobs. This would include some farmland and a desert biome. The countryside would also offer related means of earning money. Farming crops would be another job, in addition to delivery of the raw ingredients to farmers markets and the city center.
We’ll also add in a business district where players would be able to do relevant activities like playing the stock market (which would react realistically to city events like murders, property destruction, and theft).
Risks and challenges
Broke Protocol is a massive undertaking. While Rockstar had a staff of hundreds and over $250 Million into just their latest game, we are a team of two looking for a final funding round to bring Broke Protocol to you all. With successful funding, we would be able to contract out some artists and audio engineers. Our success is tied somewhat to finding the right talent help with the game.
In addition, we need to have a successful Steam Greenlight campaign in order to bring Broke Protocol to Steam. Valve has suggested that Greenlight would be going away, but its timeline and replacement is uncertain. It could be another voting system or just a pay-in option that would increase our costs (suggested maybe as high as $5000). In any case, if we cannot feasibly put the game on Steam for any reason, we will examine our options and get the game in your hands by any means possible. It may be through another digital distribution platform like Good Old Games, twitch.io, or via DRM-free copies of the final executable.
Despite these risks, we are certain that we will be able to finish the game and get it out to the backers. Luckily, the base game is complete, and already has had a successful and well-received alpha testing period. Our lead developer, Benz, has worked professionally in the industry and has built a robust codebase that is readable, easily added to, and optimized to run an almost any system. If the campaign is successful, we would be able to put our full time and attention into Broke Protocol in order to make the best city-life roleplaying game on the market.
