Looks like I've been ripped off again. No answers to my emails regarding my $25 pledge. I was hoping to try some of this kraut.

Are there other options available for those of us who can't make the pick-up? I responded to your initial message but there's been radio silence since. My Sundays are too busy (the only two days you listed for pick-up are "Sunday, April 14 from 10 am until 4 pm and again Sunday April 28 from 10 am til 4 pm") to make it to West 113th Street.
If I had known back in May that it was going to be such a limited window and so far from where I am, then I'd have paid for shipping at the time, but there was no indication really of when or where pick-up would be so I couldn't have known. Are you going to consider doing maybe a midtown pick-up, or offer belated shipping options for those of us who can't make it up there on such short notice.
I'd still really love to try the kraut I pledged for! Please let me know!

Brine and Dine guys, please let me and others know exactly where and when to pick up our long-awaited kraut and shirts and all else - exact address (building and apartment numbers), time (a range is fine, but actual numbers, please), and the like - please? We're going on nearly a year, so let's get this done and move forward!

Also wanted to add that I'm proud to have been a part of this and you should be proud of what you've accomplished. I know you've got a ways to go with labels and the rest of the shipping, but the hard part's done. I hope you guys get a really successful business going out of this. If you get a restaurant going you'll be a mandatory stop for me if I ever go to New York (don't hold your breath on that part). Also, you bums stiffed me a jar! (I got the three I paid for though, so no worries on the bonus one). Take care guys, I'm really glad to have been a part of this.
Got my package today and tried some of the 'kraut. You guys did really good. The sauerkraut is great. I will send you a private message regarding some tips I have. For those of you who haven't received yours, do not worry, it's worth the wait.

Just got another email from Kickstarter on "Projects We Love." Speaking of which, guys, can you let us know when and where to pick up the kraut and shirt (and for Ann, shipping information)? Been more than another two weeks since you said that everything was ready. Please? (And give us some lead time on pickup, say a couple of weeks in advance, as well as alternate dates and times.) Thanks.
So on the 16th of January you you said to let you know if no label was acceptable. Some of us have told you that it is okay to ship without the label. I have not heard anything from you since that date and would appreciate it if you can tell us if you have shipped and if not what the problem might be this time. Thank you

On December 23rd, you said "labels are there and jars are complete (kraut is ready)", so can you please tell us when you are mailing the kraut? You only spoke of pick up and did not tell those of who are waiting for the kraut by mail what the plans are. Sounds like you must be ready to ship. Please update us.
Any more updates? Still haven't gotten the patch, the t-shirt, or the kraut.

Jim we know it has taken us way longer than expected. Sorry we don't update as often as we should but I guess the things people would consider informative we worry is mundane at best and repetitive at worst. Spicy and plain kraut batches are ready now and two more will be ready in a week. We're working with limited space right now but were working as hard as we can. The cold weather will be better for shipping so that is one advantage to the delay. Thanks for the well wishes and I promise we have not forgotten you

Ha. I gave up a long time ago. This is the risk you take with Kickstarter. You win some, you lose some. I'm out $25. I'll live. These guys are not cons. They meant well. Just a little over their heads. It's no big deal; It happens. I still like the idea of helping businesses get started. I wish the Brine and Dine guys the best.

Two months since the last "update," and five months since we were told we'd get our stuff. Here's my question: when will you be refunding our contributions?

Ok I was going a little overboard by asking for a weekly update but every couple of weeks would be nice.
For anyone who complains about it being "spam," go up to settings (ME icon in the upper-right-hand corner) and turn off notification for the project. You won't be bothered and everyone who wants updates can get them.
Hey guys! Arnon and Ann, thanks for your support for our project, and for voicing your concerns. We're going to answer you by addressing something that we feel is at the heart of our project, and hope that it helps to explain why we're delayed here and also let you know that our next project update, which is coming up right after I write this response, will further elaborate and give some details on our current status.
To answer your concerns, Arnon, we're not business people by nature, and we're learning as we go. We have a product that we know is good and that we really love to make and share - part of the reason for this project is to test ourselves: a real-life trial of our ability to deliver. Not having an explicit business background has proven to be a much larger impediment than we could ever have expected - we are having so much trouble contacting the Department of Health to get some answers about our kitchen renovations that I'm planning on packing a good book and heading down to their NYC office on Monday for some face to face answers. We're trying to ensure that we're laying the groundwork for a successful future for our product, and for us that means taking the time to get this stuff right or face heavy fines and the possibility of eviction.
On the other hand, I want to assure you all that we're working hard on our rewards and moving forward as quickly as we're able to. Yesterday, I ordered all of our T-shirts and patch fabric, and all of our printing screens are burned and ready to go, which we'll be staring on Tuesday while we wait on the kitchen space.
As always, I want to end by thank you all again, and just ask everyone to bear with us as we learn to navigate New York's seemingly-purposefully-impenetrable bureacratic network. We'll be making an effort to update more often, while also respecting the fact that many folks don't want their inboxes too cluttered.
Thanks Arnon, I've backed a lot of KS projects and an interesting phenomenon is that all have been very late from their estimated delivery date. With only one exception. That guy had the product built and in-hand, and was just selling them on KS. There's probably a lot of reasons for they're all late. Something like this, my guess is they were just overly optimistic and didn't foresee the hassles involved in getting set up for production of food items.
I'm ok with projects being late, but once they're late, I think the backers deserve updates. Doesn't have to be fancy. Just a couple sentences saying what's going on.
I think Brine and Dine are good guys who are very busy and just needed a bump to remind them to keep us updated. Hopefully they'll give us frequent updates. I'm still happy I backed, and can't wait to try the sauerkraut. I'm sure it'll be great and worth the wait.
Good points all, Jim. Guys, you're not inspiring much confidence. You've had our $ for a while, and you're way late. Part of a successful business is transparency. Come on.

We're very sorry for the lack of communication, everybody. We can't thank you enough for sticking with us while we navigate this city's near-impossible bureaucracy to ensure we have a proper space in which to fulfill all of these rewards. We should be updating you more than we have been, but we promise a new and promising update is coming soon.
I'm starting to have the vaporware worry on a lot of the projects I've backed. When the KS projects are in progress , they're friendly and talkative. After they get your money, they're not the least bit interested in communicating, responding to emails, or providing updates. It just feels like POOF, bye bye, money.
