About this project
It may seem like the project has met it's goal, but I have been told that I will need a cushion to cover any declined credit cards when payment is processed. It is quite possible that right now the failed payments would effect the project actually getting funded or not!
HELP ME MAKE IT! UPGRADE YOUR REWARD!
"Beware the Haunted Legs" is a story about a pair of ghostly legs that travel the world. Most people are pretty scared of the legs when they see them, but in reality the legs are just feeling kinda lonely and detached. All they want is to find a friend. Follow the legs as they traipse around the world in this charmingly ghoulish story. Are they doomed to wander alone or will they find a companion?

Risks and challenges
The main challenge of the project is getting the remaining artwork finished and finalizing the book layout and design. I'm confident that I will be able to finish the art relatively quickly and submit everything to the printer (which I already have lined up). The turn-around for the printer to proof the book, print it, and have it shipped to me is a few months. I am also adding in the time it will take to organize the backers list, package books up and mail things out. I feel good about a GUARANTEED book by the end of the summer/early fall (Sept, 2013) as is mentioned in the reward level - but I am very optimistic about getting the books into your hands sooner than that. Some of the higher rewards will take me some time to complete, and I am uncertain of how many I will be completing. For those of you just getting copies of the book I'm hoping to start to ship as soon as I have them in my hands :)
With all that said, I'd rather overestimate the time than underestimate :) I will definitely be keeping all you backers up-to-date on where I am currently at in the process.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
My goal for this project is to get a physical book into people's hands. My concern with a digital book is there is not much regulation regarding how it is shared, plus I think I'm old school when it comes to owning a book, loaning it to friends or setting it on a coffee table for people to flip through. I have had a few people contact me about a PDF because of the high cost of shipping overseas - I totally understand this predicament and in if it looks like a PDF will help my chances of being funded once I have a few weeks to go I will reconsider my initial decision.
The standard for children's books is 32 pages. Right now "The Haunted Legs" will be a minimum of 40 pages. It is possible that a few extra pages will be added in if a certain level of funding is reached.
HECK YEAH! There is an extra charge for shipping, but I am happy to ship to anyone who has a mailing address!
The entire $5,000 will be put back into the project. Most of the money will be used to pay for the printing of the book, although there is a small percentage that I will be using for shipping and shipping supplies.
