SONS OF THE DEVIL is a character driven psychological thriller that is told in multiple timelines across 25 years.
In 1989, the FBI raid the remote compound of deranged Cult leader DAVID DALY-- only to find him comatose among the 93 murdered followers he sacrificed in a devil’s bargain. The only survivors are six infants rescued the night before the bloody massacre.
Twenty-five years later we meet one of those infants…

TRAVIS, a troubled father-to-be whose rough childhood was spent in Foster Care. He struggles to cope with fear of abandonment and anger issues until a “chance meeting” leads him to his half sister, JENNIFER… and the realization that he has five brothers and sisters. Travis soon discovers that this meeting was not by chance at all… Not only is his father still alive, but he is determined to finish the devil’s work that he started 25 years ago. So Travis and Jennifer have to race against the clock to find and protect their siblings before David can sacrifice them to the devil in a crazed gambit to bring Hell on earth!
The goal of Sons of the Devil is to create an experience that lives in two separate media (comics & film) but when brought together creates the rich tapestry of a world that examines the cult of personality. We'd love for you to join us as this ultimately leads to a digital web series.
Calling it a companion wouldn't do it justice. The 32pg Sons of the Devil comic is the first issue be drawn by the amazing Toni Infante, in an ongoing series that will peel back more layers of the narrative. Think of it as the second screen you'll never have to recharge. Here we can show you some of Toni's concepts for the pages:
This is where we need you the most. There are certain moments in this story that we can only deliver the full impact through the magic of cinema. We're creating a 12-15 minute short that will be the exciting first chapter in our tale of charisma and deceit. In my previous film (LOWLIFES), we told a 5 minute story on a minimal budget. SOTD is the upping of ambitions but this vision can't come to fruition without your help. We're showing you some behind the scenes of the previous film just to prove my crew and I are no strangers to this medium.
Imbedded below is LOWLIFES -- the last short film I wrote and directed. It was shot in 2012 with a Canon 5D on a super small budget (under $1200).
Check it out..
In short we can't do this without you. This is a story that I've wanted to share with an audience in the most unfiltered and direct way possible, but the expense of creating can be very well… expensive. We're prepared to go to great lengths to get you to come on this ride with us (within the boundaries of the law).
Where does the money go?
Because we're funding such a versatile story, the money goes to two causes. It's like a 2-for-1 deal. Most of the budget will go into producing the short film (equipment, locations, actors etc). While some of that budget is also dedicated to producing the comic book (printing, production, artist).
Risks and challenges
As anyone whose done it can attest, making movies is both the most daunting and thrilling experience in the world. Even with proper planning and preparation problems can arise from cast, crew, equipment, location, even the weather. Perhaps the biggest challenge in making this story is the demands of writing one of the world's most iconic characters every month (a fellow I like to call, Batman). But SOTD is a story that's inspired by passion and we have an experienced team of storytellers helping see this vision through every step of the way. We're also committed to making sure we keep all of our backers informed through behind the scenes diaries. Getting this story to you all is paramount.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
