Important Announcement- SuperScreen Project is Closed
Today, I regret to report the end of the SuperScreen Kickstarter campaign, and the end of my operations related to the development, marketing and sale of the product. We have ceased these operations permanently, effective immediately.
For the past two years all of my business time and almost all of my personal time has been devoted to this project. Indeed, I spent approximately 16 of the last 24 months overseas and away from my family, working on completing the SuperScreen. During this two-year period, my family and I made a significant investment of personal funds, and I took no salary or reimbursement of any kind, in an effort to create an augmented phone device that would enable users to magnify and enhance apps from their phones.
As backers of the Kickstarter campaign, you believed in the mission as I did, and I truly appreciate the moral and financial support that each of you has given to the SuperScreen project. More than anything, I regret disappointing you in failing to bring this product to market.
Over the past 18 months, we have reported many milestones, including launching the manufacturing process for the prototypes and then a larger pilot run. In July of 2018, a beta testing group of 179 backers received the product for testing purposes. Of that group, 78% valued the product at a price in excess of the $99 campaign price, 24% valued the product at over $300 (three times the campaign price), and only 4 of the 179 testers submitted a zero dollar valuation. I would like to personally thank all of the members of the beta group who gave their time to test the product and offered immensely useful feedback and suggestions. As the SuperScreen has only been usable by the beta testers for less than three months, it is impossible to know if any glitches with those products will occur in time. Since Transcendent is shutting down its operations today, we cannot offer solutions if any such issues do occur.
Unfortunately, the funds required to complete the development and production of SuperScreen simply are not available. For the same reason, refunds of your campaign donations are not available as well.
When we launched SuperScreen, I truly believed this product could benefit consumers and become a commercial success. We no longer have the means – or a commercial partner – to make that vision a reality.
Effective today, Transcendent Designs LLC and related entities have terminated all employees working on the SuperScreen project along with all consulting, manufacturing and service agreements related to the project.
From this point forward, please direct any correspondence to firstname.lastname@example.org, which will remain open for a limited time. All other email addresses related to the project will be disabled. As the project is being shut down and all employees are terminated, responses to your inquiries will be delayed, and I may not be able to respond to every message.
Thank you again for your support on this journey.
