XYDONIA X STARR MAZER CROSSOVER!
In the year 30XX, technology has made space travel an accessible feat. However, the legacy of planet Xydonia's inhabitants still remains a mystery to this day. Countless adventurers and opportunists ventured in search of the remains of this ancient civilization and its homeworld, but none of them lived to tell the tale.
XYDONIA is an old school arcade horizontal shoot 'em up, inspired by the Japanese milestones of the genre, such as R-Type, Gradius and Darius. Our goal is to bring you a game that looks, sounds and feels exactly like one of those classics, but retaining its own identity at the same time.
The game is currently being developed by a small team of 3 arcade junkies and has reached alpha stage.
In XYDONIA, you'll take control of a pilot on a mission to uncover the planet's coordinates and secrets, and reach the ultimate goal.

Starting from the SPACE ACE tier, everyone will get the game in a slick retro box (artwork and design not final), complete with the instruction booklet and jewel case like it's still 1995!
XYDONIA was born as an exclusive to the KAMA MEGA SYSTEM™, the only home console capable of outputting enough BLAST PROCESSING to make it even past the menu screen! Then we remembered we made that up.
We also thought a spine card / obi would have been a nice little touch, like it was really printed in Japan. Can't buy this one on eBay!
The game disc will also contain all sorts of digital goodies like the soundtracks, instructions, and so on.
Remember that you'll get both the Steam and DRM-free versions of XYDONIA with all tiers starting from 10€!
After selecting your ship and weapons, to further customize your setup, you'll be able to select a non playable assist character, each possessing a passive gameplay modifier.
You can also decide to dive in without any assist and get a boost on your score multiplier!
You'll be able to swap between them on the fly during gameplay and power them up separately.
Each class has a starter weapon, plus more to be unlocked thanks to the Scavenge System.
XYDONIA's technical aspect and style are carefully crafted to recreate the look and feel of the era, and to further enhance this we implemented an optional CRT emulation shader + border overlay for widescreen monitors.
Plus, the game will feature a slick Yamaha YM2151+Sega PCM powered musical score that really gives it a unique atmosphere and tone, thanks to the audio marvels of FM synthesis.

Meet the people behind XYDONIA, trying to make this shmup a reality!
We teamed up with Scarlet Moon Productions in order to have some authentic videogame music legends compose original tracks for the game!
If XYDONIA gets funded, Shinji Hosoe and Keishi Yonao's tracks will be automatically part of the soundtrack!
And that's not all, if we break through the base funding and reach the proper stretch goal, Ayako Saso and Yousuke Yasui will join the fray!

Risks and challenges
Game development throws so much stuff at you it's like playing Mushihimesama on Ultra Mode. It's challenging, but also exciting and rewarding!
We came a long way from our first XYDONIA prototype and we succeded in building a pretty solid engine, completely self-funded. Now we just need to add more content: characters, weapons, stages, and so on.
That's where you guys come in. The game is built in such a way that allows us to expand it in a modular fashion, so it will be finished nonetheless, someday. However, if we want to make it as big as we first expected without taking years to get it done, we must be able to work on it full force.
