Dawn of the Archmage is a small unit (miniatures) skirmish game for 2 to 4 players. Each mage will represent a school of magic, summoning powerful monsters to the battlefield. Pitting their fearsome creatures in gladiatorial battle, one mage will reign victorious, ascending to the title of Archmage.

Dawn of the Archmage continues the rich fantasy world of Archmage Origins. Once the rulers of Sorcado, mages have fallen from power. Challengers arrive from every corner of the land. Knighted Paladins, land-hungry Lords... all seek to dethrone the mages. But mages don't go down easily. It's time to fight back!
Each mage uses summoning powers to bring new and dangerous creatures to the battlefield. Expending massive mystical energy, their battle grows in frenetic power as monstrous beasts fight for the mages who control them, seeking to destroy all challengers in a magic-fueled frenzy.
Ultimate power hangs in the balance as ferocious monsters shake the earth with battle-lust.
In addition to summoning fearsome creatures to fight, mages posses a selection of powerful spells. With a single word, the battle can shift. Manipulating odds, controlling movement, and countering rival's spells, the mage's strategy will determine the supreme ruler of Sorcado.
The battle rages everywhere. Modular map tiles allow the mages to customize the battle area. Large, sprawling battlefields or close, confined ones... the fight is different every time. Will it be the Arena? The Forest? The Ruins? Or even Underground?

SolarFlare Games contributes just over $6.00 USD towards the shipping costs for ALL backers. The additional charge for various countries reflects the cost after this subsidy. We are estimating the box will weigh between 6 to 6.5 LBS,
We bulk ship our international orders to the UK for fulfillment from the UK. This is done to reduce the shipping costs around the world and prevent VAT costs for EU backers. This makes the international shipping as backer friendly as possible.
The following is a list of rough estimates for shipping a standard game package (just under 4kg weight).

Unfortunately, different import laws and customs from some specific countries have made it impossible for SolarFlare Games to ship games to them. *WE DO NOT SHIP TO:* Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.
We like to support game stores around the world by offering the special pricing of the game to retailers during the campaign. We treat retail backers just like other backers in that they receive their rewards before we release regular retail games into distribution and include all unlocked stretch goals.

Risks and challenges
SolarFlare Games has worked in gaming and publishing in various capacities for many years and has the experience to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible.
We believe in quality above all else and have chosen to use a well-established production organization with a deep experience in game production. They are an organization that have a proven record working with independent game developers.
This is our 7th Kickstarter. Our last six projects were successfully funded and delivered on time. When funding ends, production will quickly begin and we will provide timely updates through each stage of Dawn of the Archmage production, all the way until it hits your table.
We believe that honesty is paramount for our supporters. Our exacting standards and desire for quality and fun mean that you're guaranteed a game that looks just as good as it is fun to play, while offering many years of family fun!
The estimated delivery date is July 2018, but keep in mind this is only an estimate. Also, due to the logistics of international shipping, backers in different regions of the world may receive their rewards sooner than others.
There are some vagaries in terms of timing when it comes to anything produced in China, such as:

By pledging to this project, you acknowledge that the final look, materials and content of the rewards (and the project) are subject to change and may differ from what is presented while the Kickstarter project was active.
If you do not log in and confirm your pledge within 8 weeks of our notification via email to confirm your pledge, you agree that we have fulfilled our obligations to you in full for payment or donations received.
However, we may, at our discretion, refund or ship your pledge if you contact us and confirm your pledge after the 8 week window has elapsed. Unconfirmed pledges make it difficult for us to plan production and logistics, and could lead to project delays. For this project we do not intend to allow this to happen, which may mean if you confirm your pledge too late, special order items may not be produced in sufficient quantity for your pledge.
If you confirm your pledge within 8 weeks of our notification via email, you agree that our responsibility to you is to ship your order as entered into our pledge manager system, that title and risk passes to you upon delivery to a common carrier for such shipment, and you are responsible for import duties or any other duties that may be payable to the relevant tax authorities, providing correct address information and ensuring this address is deliverable by normal methods.
