In the time before the Dawn, the mages of Sorcado were locked in a constant struggle for power. They would gather and battle for the control of monsters, building a force they could use to destroy their rivals. The mage with the greatest monstrous fighting force would become the leader…but that was then.
The Dawn is coming. The Archmage will rise.
Players take turns manipulating the field of monsters and focusing their mystical power to “enlist” monsters to form the strongest force possible.
The goal is to control the strongest force of monsters from the Realm, which is made up of cards indicating the monster that occupies that space and its power level.
Players take turns peeking at the cards to determine where the most powerful monsters are hiding, deviously moving the monsters around, and strategically placing their Mage Cards around the borders of the Realm. Once all the Mage Cards are in place, players compare the power value of the magical energies that intersects at each monster. The player with the higher total mystical power value gains control of that monster (usually). The player who collects the most powerful force of monsters wins.
We like to support game stores around the world by offering special pricing of the game to retailers during the campaign. We treat retailer backers just like other backers in that they receive their rewards before we release regular retail games into distribution.

SolarFlare Games contributes just over $2.00 USD towards the shipping costs for ALL backers. For backers in the United States, this covers all shipping costs.
For backers in other countries, we apply the same $2.00 credit to all international orders to help and support our backers. We bulk ship our international orders to the UK for fulfillment from the UK. This is done to reduce the shipping costs around the world and prevent VAT costs for EU backers. This makes the international shipping as backer friendly as possible.
This allows us to ship a single copy of the game internationally for just an additional $3.00 USD. Each additional copy needs to add $1.00 USD.
Archmage Origins was created and designed by Dave Killingsworth and will be published under the Brave Frontier Studios/SolarFlare Games umbrella.

I need your help because the production costs needed to bring the game to life must be paid months before the game can appear in stores. I have already paid for all the art and have already successfully delivered five other games on time, as promised.
As with all Kickstarter projects, you will only be charged when we meet our funding goal. The game was fully designed and tested before launching this project. We have worked to make the production timeline as short and quick as possible, but first runs take a little longer to produce than repeat runs. Now, we need your help to pay the final production bill and save the Earth.

When funding ends, production will immediately begin and we will provide timely updates through each stage of Archmage Origins production, all the way until it hits your table.
