Thief's Hoard is a card game where players try to amass a hoard of artifacts worth $10,000 and keep them until the end of a round. This game of thieving uses card drafting, bidding, resource management, take-that, and quick reactions.
Thief's Hoard is a great option for groups of 2-8 friends who enjoy take-that party games, but with a strategic twist.

We are so excited that we had Rodney on board to create all 35 unique Artifacts in our first edition of Thief's Hoard!
Notorious Thief Pledge Level - $300
If you back our highest level (only 4 available!), you get a signed copy of the game, the metal collectible coin, your name on a card (name must be approved), PLUS we will photoshop a picture of you as a Notorious Thief and put you on our instruction sheet!
Backers will be asked to have a picture taken in costume (old timey or steampunk). Pictures must be approved before they will be used.
Die-struck Collectible Coin!
We will have a very limited run of collectible coins that are being produced for backers that select either the Collectible Coin level or the Master Thief backer level. These coins can be used in place of the "Lead Thief" card in the deck for added coolness!
The coins will be produced by wizardpins.com, and will be a bronze-gold color. We've submitted our art, and the order gets placed as soon as the Kickstarter ends successfully! The coin will feature our thief face on the front, and the Thief's Hoard logo on the back. The coins will ship separately, but there is no additional charge for shipping in the US (International pays shipping fees)!
Our Printing Partner - Print Ninja
We've chosen Print Ninja to produce our game for us! We are excited to work with them. You can go to printninja.com and see the great reviews and quality printing products! Our game will be printed on 280gsm blue core standard cards, which is an industry standard quality for most card games.
We will be working with Print Ninja's partner, EFS, to fulfill all the Kickstarter backer games.
Production, once started, should take about 15 weeks to get from the printer to EFS (E Fulfillment Services) to start shipping. EFS estimates our shipping to take about 2 weeks (could be longer if we get more backers than expected).
Using this service, we are able to charge a flat shipping fee at a discount to all our backers!
*The rate changes if we include the Collectible Coin, since we have to send those out personally.
US Shipping: $12 for game only, $15 for game and Collectible Coin
Canada Shipping: $15 for game only, $20 for game and Collectible Coin
International Shipping: $18 for game only, $25 for game and Collectible Coin
The shipping amount will automatically add to your pledge on check-out here on Kickstarter.
About Brass Engine
Brass Engine Productions is a small business in Columbia, Missouri, founded by Ben Watkins. Game design is one part of our company, and we have a lot of fun making games and sharing them with everyone.
David Buxman is an assistant Art Director and co-designer on many of our games. Ben Watkins is the other half of the game design team, though we rely on our larger support group to playtest, give feedback, and be a part of the process. Though we would love to make games our full time job, we still maintain regular day jobs to pay the bills and support their families.
The games are passion projects for us, so any additional funding we receive through the Kickstarter goes towards our next project. =)

Thank you for reading this far, and we hope you decide to back our project!
Risks and challenges
This is our second project on Kickstarter. We learned a lot from our first game, Materia.
First, we learned that printing in the US is very expensive. We knew we wouldn't make much money on our first game, but the reality was that we spent money to finish it. We've made sure that with this project, we get just the right amount for our goal so we can cover all fees, production, and shipping/fulfillment. As always, any additional funds we get go towards our next project.
Second, we have a much better understanding of shipping costs and headaches. In fact, we now understand we want someone else to handle that part ;)
And finally, we learned that while people love handmade add-ons for the games, our busy lives don't allow for such large scale projects for custom boxes/cases. So, for this campaign, our special add-on is being produced elsewhere and we supply the design only.
With each project, we get more and more accustomed to the process, and we are excited to continue bringing games to life through the Kickstarter platform.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
