Jules is a bright and sassy 17 year-old who desperately wants to leave her Midwestern family’s alumni traditions behind, but to get to her once-in-a-lifetime Harvard admissions interview, Jules is forced to hitch a ride with her twin sister/nemesis, Madison, who is headed to a beauty pageant. Their road trip takes a turn when the teenage sisters unwittingly come into possession of a stolen jewel and are pursued by dangerous thieves.
CompanyFilm producer and entertainment professional, Lucas Miles, together with Los Angeles transplant and marketing expert, Brian Harrington, have formed Crowning Jules, LLC (IN), in partnership with Miles Media.
The two began their partnership while producing the Kevin Sorbo (TV’s “Hercules”, and “God’s Not Dead”) film, “Rodeo Girl”, which completed principal filming in the fall of 2014. Coming alongside the company is acclaimed casting agent, Russell Boast and Disney writer, Shea Fontana. Boast is most known for his work on Angeline Jolie’s, “Beyond Borders”, as well as TNT’s “Franklin & Bash” and Fox’s “24: Live Another Day”. Fontana, who is the writer of the screenplay for “Crowning Jules” and perhaps better known for her work on Disney’s “The 7D”, will stay on the project as lead writer, assisting the company with the adaptions necessary to bring the production to film.
The company is represented and advised by entertainment and I.P. attorney, Megan Mulford, and corporate attorney, Andrew Harwel, both of the Indianapolis based law firm, Bose, McKinney, & Evans LLP.
