A traditional full service butcher, sourcing ultra-local meat, connecting farmers and community for health and a strong local economy.

As ranchers and farmers and active members of our sustainably minded community, we have identified a clear need for a full service, traditional, butcher shop here in Ashland, Oregon.

A market place that connects genuinely local meats to customers who care.

Customers who rightly demand to know that the meat they eat comes from livestock raised sustainably and with compassion, transported with care, slaughtered humanely, and cut and hand cured with skill and reverence.

You are what you eat, and we are motivated to encourage humane, natural, livestock production by providing a one stop shop for organic, grass fed & finished, and certified naturally grown local meats.   Happier, healthier animals produce healthier meat, which in turn - we believe - leads to happier, healthier people.  And we like happy healthy people!

We are motivated to provide meat that we can not only "trace" to it's point of origin, but to create a model where we buy direct from the farm gate and control the integrity of the product from farm to store - and be able to, hand on heart, tell you everything about how and where the meat you trust us to supply came from.

We are also motivated to, wherever possible, buy from local farms - and where it is not possible, create the demand for local farmers to raise it.  We have the capacity to be part of and help facilitate the renaissance and resurgence in small scale family farming - the type of farming that honors and respects our land and livestock.  The type of farming that fosters local economic regeneration and increases regional food security.

We don't believe this is "cool", we believe it is real and necessary.  Cliched as it may sound, we are being the change we want to see in the world - and helping others do the same.  We hope you can help us achieve our goal!

We anticipate opening the second week of August 2012!  We are so close, but need help - help from you.  We have only ten days to raise these much needed funds - funds that are essential to ensuring a successful outcome.  We hope you will be able to support us, and in so doing allow us to serve our community!
