Hello, backers!

Yes, it's been awhile. But things are beginning to roll along again. The month of May was back to my full time job in full force and June was a busy month as I help judge the Hearst Journalism Awards and teach at The Kalish visual editing workshop. With those commitments completed, it's time to focus again on Born to Die. I thank you for your patience.

The April trip back to Last Chance Corral in Athens, Ohio and parts of Kentucky were very fruitful. We were able to do six interviews that were enlightening and will certainly deepen the story about the nurse mare foals. The next step is the hard part and very time consuming: transcribing all the audio and editing. But it is also very fulfilling when you see the story come together.

I am preparing the next round of Kickstarter gifts. For those of you who named a foal, you'll be hearing from me today via email. :) I will also post pictures of those foals on my web site borntodie.org.

Foal season is over, but Last Chance Corral continues to do great work with adult horses in need of good homes the remainder of the year. For more information, please visit their web site lastchangecorral.org or their Facebook page where they regularly post pictures and updates.

Again, many thanks for all your support as we push forward!

Best to all!

Sue
