Happy belated Halloween!
I have been catching up on some projects and all of the great contributing writers for THIS PROJECT have their contracts in hand and some are waiting for MY (this project) slot to become open. KEVIN WATSON submitted a couple articles and I have looked them over, and will be asking for more cool stuff from him regarding these 2 current issues and more stuff. These 2 current topics that Kevin has written are:
1. WRITING FOR YOUR HOME GAME VS. WRITING FOR PUBLICATIONS
2. TYPES OF MATERIAL TO CREATE Several more full pages of writing (closeup attached) that relate to CLASSES, SPECIALIZATIONS, EQUIPMENT, KITS, FEATS, and BACKGROUND.
I have attached a couple screenshots so you can see the writing is progressing all around. ALL writings for this project will be proofread and set into a really nice page layout so it looks good. In the meantime, please understand that before this happens, these “rough cuts” are done in programs like Microsoft Word, and/or .rtf or .txt files. Don’t worry. It will LOOK GREAT! Speaking of great, Kevin did a great job on these two articles with thousands of words!
GREAT WORK, KEVIN!
FILGAR’S TRAPS ADVENTURE - 8-Page adventure for thieves and Rogues will be a “side-scroller” that will have many elements that relate to the visuals dreamed up by none other than the great EDGAR ALLEN POE or have that look, tone and feel. Just some of the traps will be or relate to: • SPECIAL PITS • AXE - PENDULUM TRAPS • CHUTES LEADING TO WAITING GRAVES • SLIME PITS • STAIR TRAPS • CEILING TRAPS and more… There will also be many LIVE nasties to battle within as well!
TWO MORE THINGS I will touch base on in the next update are…
1. A really good artist that was cool enough to offer his services is the artwork of DAN SMITH. I will include some of Dan’s art in an upcoming update. I have not made my selection just yet, but I will be filling you in on some of his cool work style that will find its way in one or both of these books.
2. JOHNN FOURR Submitted his outline to me, and I am thrilled. This guy is amazing. He is impossible to slow down, and the ideas just pour forth! Make sure to stay tuned for the GREAT MATERIAL he will be gracing us with!
P.S. I have not YET learned about BACKER KIT. Please be patient - I have not forgotten. It just has not got to that time yet.
Until then, keep on dispatching monsters! ; )
