Zac's Guitar - A Not Forgotten Book by Bonnie J. Taylor
Zac's Guitar - The stand alone third fiction novel in the Not Forgotten series. An intricate blend of paranormal fiction and fantasy.
The idea for Zac’s Guitar came to me several years ago. I was thinking about my nephew Zac and the number of times his parents posted on social media regarding charity fund raisers that he was involved in. There were many.
One example that stood out to me was when he and his sister created an Etsy page where they sold their drawings to earn money for a children’s charity. This truly touched my heart
My brother once asked me if any of my books were age appropriate for Zac because he was proudly telling his friends that his aunt was a writer and I thought, why not write one for him?
The original idea was clean and simple. A children’s book about a boy and a magic guitar that transports young cancer patients to another dimension and heals them. It was a feel-good story for kids but time passed and Zac grew and, before the pen hit the paper, the idea was under his reading level.
I write paranormal fiction and it was time to write a third book for my series, Not Forgotten. I had an idea, but just couldn’t go anywhere with it. That’s when the magic happened and Zac’s Guitar evolved!
These two worlds melded together seamlessly and allowed me to bring back characters that I thought were one act players in the Not Forgotten realm!
As an independently funded publisher, I set up this Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to professionally edit this book. I love the story and I know you will too! Thank you for your support and for considering a pledge! Once this book is in production a portion of all sales will be donated to the children's charity of Zac's choice.
Risks and challenges
I have an editor in New York ready to sign a contract. Our risk is not reaching our funding goal to secure her services in time. If we are fully funded in 45 days, she will contract with us and meet our deadline!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
