The only way to guarantee a Villanova Piccolo Girl bobblehead is by backing the Kickstarter!

When have sports made YOU cry?
As either a spectator or athlete, sports have probably made you cry. Whether they were tears of joy or the result of an agonizing loss or injury, sports bring out so many emotions.
Earlier this year, a basketball game brought tears to the eyes of a Villanova University band member, and now we hope to make a bobblehead to commemorate that special, unique moment...a moment that symbolizes the emotions that millions of fans have felt at one time or another.
On Saturday, March, 21, 2015, Roxanne Chalifoux and her fellow members of the Villanova University band headed to the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the #1 seed Villanova Wildcat's game vs. the #8 seed N.C. State Wolfpack in the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament. At that time, Roxanne was just another member of the Villanova band.
The ball was tipped...at about 6:10pm Eastern Time and the 1st half ended with a 3-pointer buzzer-beater by the Wolfpack to give them a 32-28 lead into halftime as the Villanova band played on, hoping their team would come out strong in the 2nd half.
N.C. State took off where they left off, going on a run and taking a 12 point lead with 13:21 left in the game. Villanova hit back-to-back three pointers to cut the deficit to only 2 points with 41 seconds left, but despite a late three pointer, N.C. State was able to hold on for a 71-68 victory...at which point the cameras focused in on one member of the Villanova University band...
...Roxanne Chalifoux! This moment of "March Sadness" was viewed by millions on live TV and went viral on social media.
After the tears subsided, Roxanne was a guest of Jimmy Fallon and The Roots on The Tonight Show and was interviewed by several other prominent media outlets.
And shortly after that, we at the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum contacted Roxanne about making a bobblehead commemorating that special moment that touched so many around the world...and, as they say, the rest is history!
Here are pictures of the mold, which were completed on 5/21. We will be posting pictures of the painted mold by the end of May!
With your support, we will make that unforgettable moment into a bobblehead that symbolizes all of the emotions of Sports.
And grab a tissue and watch "One Shining Moment" to see Roxanne just after the 1-minute mark.

About Roxanne:Roxanne is currently a biology major with a psychology minor. She has played in the Villanova Band since her freshman year and loved every second of it. Although the piccolo gets all the credit, she is also an avid bassoonist. She is officially a Villanova Band alumna and will be graduating from college on May 15. She then heads to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in August to pursue her dream of becoming an optometrist. Of course, Roxanne will be receiving a portion of the proceeds and is planning to donate a portion of those proceeds to the Villanova University Band!
About the Villanova University Band:
The Villanova University Band, part of Villanova’s Music Activities Department, actively fundraises during the year. The “V Shirt” sales and weekly cake sales help raise money for new basketball uniforms each season, the annual fall break service trip, new instruments, instrument repairs, and the annual band camp every August. Roxanne chose for a portion of the proceeds to go to the Villanova Band since it was an enormous influence on her college experience. Roxanne had the time of her life during her four years at Nova, and many of the amazing memories were made as a VU Band member.
About the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum:
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and will feature the world’s largest collection of bobbleheads and bobblehead-related exhibits when it opens in 2016. The Hall of Fame and Museum also designs, produces and markets a wide variety of bobbleheads. More information is available at www.BobbleheadHall.com.
The bobblehead design shown is an initial rendering and is subject to change. Although we don't anticipate any changes, certain adjustments may be necessary.
The bobblehead will come in a customized, full-color box with more information about Roxanne and the unique March Moment!

Why a $5,000 Goal?
Hitting the goal of $5,000 will prove that there is demand for the Piccolo Girl bobblehead, and we will proceed with producing 500 bobbleheads. We are using the Kickstarter as a gauge for demand, and don't intend to make very many more than claimed through the Kickstarter. Each bobblehead will be individually numbered and there will be only one production run.
Other Custom Bobbleheads We've Done:
We've created, produced and distributed many custom bobbleheads in quantities ranging from 1 to many thousand. Here are pictures of just a few that we've created recently:

Risks and challenges
Production and shipping delays are always possible with a project such as this, but we have set a very conservative delivery date to ensure there is plenty of time for production and shipping.
We have created tens of thousands of bobbleheads of dozens of subjects and are very experienced with all logistics related to production and shipping.
In addition we have an established relationship with MDS Fulfillment, a partner that we have relied on to quickly fulfill large volumes of orders.
PLEASE NOTE: As with all bobbleheads, the Roxanne Chalifoux Piccolo Girl Bobblehead contains small parts and is not intended as a toy for small children. A standard warning label will be included on the bottom of the bobblehead and box.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
