Kelvin and the Infamous Machine is a point-and-click adventure about the well intentioned but not-so-brilliant Kelvin, his workplace crush, a crazy scientist, and a hideous time machine that came to ruin everything. With us so far?
After a lifetime of research, the eccentric Dr. Edwin Lupin finally unlocks the secrets of time travel. With the help of his assistants Lise and Kelvin, Lupin constructs the world’s first functioning time machine. Which, for complicated science reasons, looks exactly like a portable shower.
The scientific community completely ignores the significance of Lupin’s invention, instead dubbing it the “Infamous Machine” because of its ridiculous appearance. Driven to madness by this insult, Lupin launches himself into the past, bent on stealing credit for humanity’s greatest works.
Can the bumbling Kelvin, driven by a basic understanding of right and wrong, repair the unraveling timeline? Or will he totally blow it and doom the universe to oblivion?
Inspire works of genius! - Even history’s greatest thinkers were stumped at one point or another. Be the special sauce on their cheeseburger of INVENTION!
Solve brain-melting puzzles! - What point-and-click adventure would be complete without inexplicably roundabout solutions to straightforward problems?
Engage in droll conversation! - Seriously, the dialog in this game might be the drollest you’ve ever read.
Delight in a unique art style! - Beautiful handmade drawings animated with fancy new technology give the game a charming and distinctive look.
Pay to win! - Just kidding.
This project is our heartfelt homage to a genre that’s made us think and laugh for years. We want to recapture the whimsy of Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, and all of the other point-and-click classics we grew up with.
Kelvin and the Infamous Machine full release will be available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS. Win, Mac and Linux version will be released first, with Android and iOS following. The full desktop versions will be distributed on Steam as well as DRM-free download.
Initially, the game will have three chapters, featuring Isaac Newton, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Leonardo da Vinci. As we reach higher funding goals, we’ll add more chapters featuring more of history’s greatest minds.

Game development costs are numerous and varied. As we continue to build out the game, we require funds for coding, writing, storyboarding, visual design, audio design, and numerous other tasks. Your support provides us the time and focus we need to produce a game that we are proud to share with you.
These talented people have all contributed to the project in various ways.
Blyts is an indie company. We have a great library of games that are doing well—we can't complain about that! But this time, we’re looking to create an extraordinary experience that far exceeds the scope of our previous projects. We know this will require more resources than we have on our own, which is why we need your help to accomplish our goals and deliver an awesome game that will give you hours of fun in return.
We’ve been developing the game for ten months now. The base engine is almost done, and we’ve almost finished the Beethoven chapter. We still have a long way to go with the remaining chapters and polishing up details.
Reaching our stretch goals will allow us to add even more chapters with great stories and characters from throughout history. If you like the game so far, please support us and help us deliver an amazing story!
Risks and challenges
Our biggest risk and fear is not being able to continue creating more chapters. We would really love to complete as many as possible. We’ve gotten this far on our own, but now we humbly ask for your help to bring this exciting project to life.
We’re an indie game studio trying to create our most amazing game so far. Every chapter requires its own unique concept, style, puzzles, and music.
Thank you for your support!
