Beautifully Illustrated Children's Book
Teeny Tiny Witch, is a delightful story for children written by new author Sheila Golding, with stunning full colour illustrations by graphic artist Colin Rowe.
Aimed at young readers around 5-8 years, the story centres around 'Teeny Tiny Witch', who is, as her name suggests, very small. She also prefers the colour red, not black, and her spells are often catastrophic.
Banished from Witch Island she finds herself meeting friendly dragons, and a grumpy wizard. She might be able to help the wizard, but can she ever return to her home?
High Quality Production
The illustrations for this book are absolutely stunning, although they come with their own challenges for us to deal with.
It would be a travesty to render these pictures in grey-scale so the book will be printed in full colour. In order to get a really crisp print we will be using a heavyweight paper with a matt coating, so the colours really Zing off the page, and don't show through on the other side.
For this reason, the print cost of the book will be a little higher than usual, but we firmly believe the end result will be worth it.
The "First Edition" hardcover will be limited to an absolute maximum of 100 copies, after which we will undertake to make no further copies of this edition. It will be produced to a high standard with additional features, and will make a worthwhile collectors edition.
We will also produce a standard paperback, which may have further print runs done.
If we reach £1,400 in pledges, or we get at least 50 orders for the hardcover edition, we will pay extra to have the hardcover edition embellished with gold coloured foil.
Stretch Goal 2
If we reach £2,000 or more we will also create a fully voiced audio-book and send a copy to everyone who pledged for the paperback deal or above.
Risks and challenges
As any previous backers of my projects (on Kickstarter, and other platforms) will know, I take delivering the rewards seriously, and always produce a good quality product.
With experience of publishing more than half a dozen books from several different authors, I know an awful lot of the pitfalls that can trip up proceedings, and I am confident we will be able to deliver this project in good time for Christmas.
