What is THE SOUND? This album is something that you have never heard before. The music is comprised of
- The darker composition style of Radiohead, Muse, the Beatles, Faith No More, Dream Theater, the Cure, the Cult, and the Who.
- With vocal styling reminiscent of Queen, the Beatles, and Pink Floyd.
- Lyrical content that tackles philosophical, surrealistic, and existential themes.
Who plays what on the record? The dynamic and experimental guitar sound is created by Nick and Greg. The thunderous drum sound that recalls Neil Peart and Buddy Rich is pounded out by Scott. The bass lines played by Mark fill out the top and bottom of the sound with influences of Paul McCartney, Billy Gould, and Geddy Lee. The piano and keyboards have Yes, Dream Theater, Chopin, Muse, and Ben Folds inspiration. The multi-part vocals are sung by the entire band with Mark singing the lead vocals.
So why do we need funding? Well...recording, mixing, mastering, and releasing an album is expensive! We will have a professional mixer take the crazy sounds we've created and turn them into a polished product. A sound engineer will then master the album for public consumption. And we are also pressing, printing, and distributing CD's.
How are we going to make this work? By promotion through every channel possible. We will use every social, web, music, artistic channel available in order to get the word out. We also have a schedule of pre-release shows that we will use to promote the upcoming album. Videos, news updates, interviews, contests and new tracks will be used to get as much attention as possible.
Risks and challenges
We are confident in the success of Blue Dali’s premiere album. The hardest parts of making the album have already been completed: the music has been written and arranged and the tracks have been recorded.
There are always risks and challenges when releasing an official album. You have to rely on multiple engineers, artists, production houses, and logistics. We are on top of the process every step of the way, and have back up plans in place just in case any person cannot deliver within our deadline.
We are determined to make this happen, and your Kickstarter contribution will help us reach this goal. With support from you, we can put the finishing touches on the album and get it officially released.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
