When Iceland underwent a financial crisis in 2oo8, Icelanders were faced with harsh realities with their flawed banking system and left with the question: what now?
Wilma's Wish Productions has been working on a documentary called Blueberry Soup for the past three years. Blueberry Soup explores the unique and unexpected environment caused by a country in economic paralysis. A peoples' movement has emerged from the crash with a new focus on the value of community. Incredibly inspiring and fun, Blueberry Soup investigates what arises from a collapse.
We are now going into our final stage of production and need help from you. Iceland has decided to re-write their constitution through the needs and demands of the people. We are going back to Iceland for all of May to document this historical moment. We see this as an imperative time to document as it could be used as a global example of a nation turning to its people for change.
