Testing the Black Magic PC4K

Hi Team,

This week for the first time we got our hands on the new Black Magic Pocket Camera 4K. Even though we've been in discussion with Black Magic and knew the Power Junkie worked on paper the first time we plugged it in was a little daunting. Of course, it worked flawlessly! All you new PC4K owners can be stoked that the Power Junkie is going to let you shoot all day long, unlike the 12 minutes internal (not confirmed.....yet)

We are still on schedule for sending out our survey this coming week, in this survey, you'll be able to select what dummy battery style you want and let us know your shipping address.

It would be really cool if there was an cable available for connection from the Power Junkie's 7.2v DC connection directly into the power input of the camera (instead of using a dummy battery).

We'll have dummy batteries available as 'Add-ons' in the Backerkit survey that will be sent out shortly.

Will there be dummy batteries available for purchase separately via Blindspot?

The power connection was via the available Blind Spot Canon LP-E6 dummy battery.

What connection did you use to power this camera?

Got my Pocket 4k this Monday. With my genuine Canon batteries it lasts around 45 minutes. The third party battery which comes with the camera is - well - a joke.
Did you power via battery dummy or via USB-C?
