Android Collective Extra
Welcome to the first Android Collective Extra, a small, short campaign to add two more Androids to the Collective whilst also funding more master casting.
Introducing two more Androids, The Cowboy and The Spaceman,
The Cowboy and The Spaceman are models that have been designed to work in children's entertainment parks across the galaxy as they are based on famous holo-vision characters aimed at the younger generation, although older viewers have been known to adore them too.
Note: The Spaceman is a two-part miniature with a separate jet pack.
Another New Pack.
Another option which may be added on to your Pledge is the Mk 15 Security Trooper Pack,
This Pack contains three identical Security Troopers for those of you that wish to bolster this part of your Android Collective. Simply add £9 to your Pledge for each Security Trooper Pack that you wish to add to your parcel.
Missed a Collective or simply want to add more Androids?
Well, you can get them now.
Still want to get your hands on some of the figures?
Simply add the indicated amount to your Pledge for each of the Collectives that you require (additional postage is included in the price).....
There is also an option for selecting the fist three Collectives to accompany The Cowboy and The Spaceman as a Pledge at reduced cost if you wish.
The Original Android Collective: £24
The Second Android Collective: £25
The Third Android Collective: £27
Missed Androidball Evolution?
You can also jump on the Androidball Evolution wagon if you missed it by adding teams from that campaign at £25 each or £48 for both to your Pledge. There is also the easier option to join in the Androidball Evolution by grabbing a 'Late Developer' Pledge.
You will also have the option of joining the Development group who will be helping with the playtesting of the game if you wish to.
All of the above figures have 'slotted' base tabs, which have been designed to fit most types of plastic slotted bases.
Bases are NOT supplied.
There are several reasons for this:
Firstly, whichever type that I chose may not necessarily be compatible with those of any given Backer.
Secondly, I would have to increase the cost of all Pledges to cover this.
Thirdly, and most importantly, the space that they occupy could take parcels from the Large Letter category, which 95% of all parcels so far in previous campaigns have fit into, up to a Small Parcel and thus increase the postage further. This can be quite a significant increase when sending overseas.
Bearing all these factors in mind I have decided it makes more sense not to add them.
Risks and challenges
I have already run many successful Kickstarter campaigns, all of which have funded and have been fulfilled well within the time frame specified at the the time of launch.
I see no reason why this should be any different as the figures have already been sculpted and master moulds have been made to eliminate as much risk of delays as is possible.
This project is to fund the production moulding and casting of the Androids.
I have factored in extra time for any delay in casting, so every pledge should be fulfilled in time.
The only problem would be if the Android Masters took exception and rose up in rebellion but, as I think they will be too busy playtesting Droidball, I doubt it.
Also, their programming should prevent this.....I hope!
