Outlanders: Phase 9.
The Court of Baron Posenhosen and His Robot Legions.
This campaign will feature the release of at least seven white metal miniatures in 28mm scale representing the Court of Baron Mongo Posenhosen, ruler of Outland and his 'inner council' AND seven white metal miniatures to represent a Squad from amongst The Robot Legions.
There will also be another chance to pick up Juggenfloot! The Band, as they are performing at the Baronial Palace at this present time.
More figures may be added to each category with the help of Stretch Goals should they be Unlocked.
Of course, these 28mm scale miniatures can be used in many different settings other than Outland, including all flavours of sci-fi from 'Grimdark' all the way to 'Retro'. They could also easily see service in the Pulp, Superhero and VSF genres, amongst others.
The Court of The Baron.
The Court of Baron Posenhosen is a large unwieldy creature at the best of times, consisting of The Baron and his family, the Inner Council, the Lords Procrastinator as well as many visiting diplomats and representatives of other systems, corporations and factions. To keep this throng amused, there are are also a variety of servants and travelling 'entertainers' in residence at any given time.
Of course, to ensure the safety of The Baron during Court, all of these groups are strictly monitored and 'protected' by his fanatical Baronial Guard and The Robot Legions.
This campaign will feature the Baron himself and his Inner Council, The Baronial Guard, The Robot Legions and Juggenfloot!, a band performing at the Palace at the current time.
Future campaigns will expand on this theme with more additions to The Court planned as future campaigns.
The Members of The Court.
Introducing the seven miniatures that will form The Court of the Baron at the start of this campaign....
The Baron himself and two members of his Baronial Guard
The Baron's daughter, Mingita and her Cyber Hound bodyguard C.H.I.P.S,
General De Sorda, Commander of the Robot Legions, and one of the eight Lords Procrastinator, purely logical, cybernetically augmented beings who run the administration of the system.
Together these seven miniatures form The Court of Baron Posenhosen Pledge Level at the start of the campaign...
Other members may be added to the Court of the Baron as Stretch Goals.
The Robot Legions.
Introducing the seven miniatures that will feature as part of The Robot Squad Pledge at the start of the campaign....
The seven members of each Robot Squad at the start of this campaign, featuring six Ray-Blaster carrying RayBots and a menacing Fistabot for close quarters action and forced entry.
Other members may be added to each Robot Squad as Stretch Goals.
Juggenfloot! The Band!
There is also a second chance to get hold of Juggenfloot! The Band! as part of the Full Court Pledge as they are currently performing at the Baronial Palace....
Juggenfloot! are a six being ensemble who have risen from quite ominous beginnings to become the most popular band in this Sector of the Galaxy with their funky mix of Ocean Wave and Stellar Trance.
If you wish to add them to another Pledge level, please send me a message as they are limited in number at present.
Catch them while you can!
Stretch Goal #1 at £1500: The Interplanetary Ambassador
Should the Funding Level reach £1500 then The Interplanetary Ambassador will be added Free to all Court of the Baron sets.
Stretch Goal #2 at £2000: The Robot Interfacer
Should the Funding Level reach £2000 then The Robot Interfacer will be added Free to all Robot Squad Pledges. Pledges that contain one or more Robot Squads will find one Interfacer added to each Robot Squad in their Pledge.
Stretch Goal #3: Will be revealed later in the campaign.....
All of the above figures have 'slotta' base tabs, which have been designed to fit most types of plastic slotted bases.
Bases are NOT supplied.
There are several reasons for this:
Firstly, whichever type that I chose may not necessarily be compatible with those of any given Backer.
Secondly, I would have to increase the cost of all Pledges to cover this.
Thirdly, and most importantly, the space that they occupy could take parcels from the Large Letter category, which 95% of all parcels so far in previous campaigns have fit into, up to a Small Parcel and thus increase the postage further. This can be quite a significant increase when sending overseas.
Bearing all these factors in mind I have decided it makes more sense not to add them.
Risks and challenges
I have already run more than thirty successful Kickstarter campaigns which have funded and have been fulfilled well within the time frame specified at the the time of launch.
I see no reason why this should be any different as the figures have already been sculpted and master moulds have been made to eliminate as much risk of delays as is possible.
This project is to fund the production moulding and casting of the Court and Robots (the Band have already been moulded).
I have factored in extra time for any delay in casting, so every pledge should be fulfilled in time.
The only problem would be if The Inner Council took exception and had me charged with treason, but their methods are not the most efficient, so fingers crossed....
