Thank you for your constant support. The comments, emails and phone calls make the hard work worth it. Keep 'em coming! Now that the reality TV noise has died down, though, I’d like to fill you in on the next phase of my master plan for musical world domination. Along with a few great producers, I’ve selected a handful of songs that I feel best represent what I’m doing right now and where I want to be going in the future. I’ve been in the studio getting them all recorded, and I’ve got some great people waiting to listen to them who are excited to take my work to the next level. The good news is that this part of the master plan is just about done.
I’m also ready to put together a press kit to help introduce myself in the most concise and powerful way possible. First impressions are still everything and I want to make sure I make the right one. Here’s where you come in. While I may be rich in love, faith, hope, positivity, and all that good stuff, these silly studios and photographers still insist on getting paid in dollars. (How elitist and bourgeois, right? Go figure.)
I’m asking for your donations to help fund this project. A monetary donation of $5, $10, or whatever you can afford to give would be greatly appreciated. An investment of your time is equally as welcomed. Please help by passing this letter around to anyone you think would be interested.
I’m looking to raise $500 by September 15th in order to finish recording and engage the services of a professional photographer, along with some other miscellaneous costs. Here’s how the numbers break down. The studio where I’ll be finishing the recording costs $75 an hour (I estimate I’ll need about 3 to 4 more hours). The rest of the money will be used for the photographer, equipment, transportation and all other expenses. Five hundred dollars is a low estimate of how much I’ll actually need, and if we can exceed our goal, all the better. I am fully prepared, however, to work on a budget.
Thank you again for your support. I couldn’t have come this far without it. I can’t wait to share with you all the pictures and all the new music, and hopefully even some bigger career news!
