Street Business is an independent, unique, rich, funny and pixelated sandbox management PC game developed by Blank Pixel in which you manage a gang of thugs who must grow their salad business and fight to take control of the street.

The development is already well advanced, the game (that works on Windows and Mac) will be available as private alpha version in early 2017. Then we will improve it according to the suggestions and opinions of the players and we will publish a public alpha version of the game in the following months.
It is composed of lots of micromanagement elements (manage your thugs inventories and skills, your apartments, your garages and vehicles ...), tons of generated events (based on your relationships, other gangs can help you, extort money from you, ask you for help, attack you frontally or using insidious ways etc ...). There are also plenty of parallel missions (such as sending thugs rob a station service, a carwash station or a bank, selling jewels to the jewels dealer, purchasing weapons or salad, burglarizing premises ...) to offer you a unique experience, full of humour, action and reflexion.

Designed to be played for hours without falling into a boring and repetitive gameplay, Street Business also comes with awesome pixel art graphics that will bring back to memory the pleasure of gamers who have played the independent and inventive video games of the 80’s and 90’s.
It is filled with humour, fights, glorious victories and pitiful failures, Street Business will seduce you with its deep and complex gameplay, as well as the tons of possible actions to achieve your goals.


To take the control of all the buildings of the street, you will need to :
- hire thugs
- order, store and sell salad
- order, store and use weapons
- organize heists and burglarize premises
- rent and manage apartments
- sponsor music bands and streetwear brands
- make strategic alliances
- steal, buy and manage vehicles
- plan attacks against other gangs to take their buildings
- ...and much more !

There are tons of possible actions to order to your thugs, such :
- Keeping an eye on a specific area
- Selling salad
- Body searching people
- Identifying someone
- Interviewing and hiring someone
- Bribing a thug from another gang
- Bribing a cop
- Extorting money from other gangs
- Asking salad from other gangs
- Organizing watch patrols by scooter and warning the gang when cops arrive
- Robing a street
- Protecting a shop
- Launching microwave attacks on enemies near your building
- Robing a stunned guy
- Killing someone
- Driving someone out
- Selling objects
- Listening to rumors in the pub
- Looking for new contacts
- Training to gain skills
- Going on mission (burglaries, heists, jewels pusher…)
- ... and much more !


Currently, we have thousands of hours of work behind us on this project, and all the previously mentioned game mechanics are already programmed and functional in our development version.
Now the gameplay mechanics are ready, to ensure a truly rich game experience straight from the public alpha version, we need to continue to add a lot of content inside, like :
- dozens of random events that may arise during the different missions
- dozens of random event that can be triggered by other gangs
- tons of new characters
- tons of new character animations
- new types of apartments
This campaign will help us to quickly bring the game to its public release, and, if the campaign is more successful than expected, we can add again new gameplay mechanics to the many existing ones, new languages and new graphics elements !

Risks and challenges
As mentioned previously, this project is not a simple concept : all the mentioned features have already been developed, we are now at the stage of adding content to give the game its full potential, and it is in this context that we have launched this campaign.
The more successful the Kickstarter campaign will be, the more contents we can bring to the game (missions, events, graphics, character animations, types of apartment with their corresponding actions etc ...) to enrich the player's experience.
