In 2002, the Mountain Goats released Tallahassee. We're celebrating the CD's tenth birthday with a cover album.
Well, we made our initial goal of $1500 with 13 days to spare, and then we made our stretch goal of $2500 with 10 days to spare. Is it too presumptuous to think that we can raise an additional $1500 before the project is over? Any money we make after expenses are subtracted will be divided up between the artists as a budget/stipend. Let's make this record sound as good as it can be!
In case you skipped the video: The Project
On November 5th, 2002 The Mountain Goats released their album Tallahassee on 4AD. Now, ten years later, artists and songwriters in all genres consider it a landmark album. To celebrate Tallahassee's tenth birthday, we are pulling together fourteen different artists to cover the fourteen tracks on the album, creating Tallahassee Turns Ten: A Mountain Goats Cover Album.

While it is more likely for the artist to enjoy covering the song if they are already familiar with the artist, you can ask the artist to cover any song you would like. The artist will do his or her best to cover (or struggle through covering) the song and post it sometime before the end of January.
The covers for [artist name] are sold out. Is there any way I can still get them to cover a song of my choosing?
Send me a message and I'll contact the band to see if we can work something out.
I hate to impose the limit on those rewards, because I know that kind of thing will be popular, but it's for the band's sanity. I'd hate for any of the bands to find that they suddenly have to cover 30 songs before the end of January. Two is much more manageable.
The good folks at Kickstarter can answer this better than I can.

Don't worry, you can still adjust your pledge. Just go to the top of this page, click the blue "Manage Your Pledge" button, add $8 and you're done! As long as you adjust it before the deadline, there should be no problem.
Yes, I am. Unfortunately, since I didn't realize it until after the project got funded, I can't edit the page to fix it. So sorry. I'm embarrassed just thinking about it.
